ramirez
I went to school in Washington and we had a school trip to roker park in 1992, wore my barcode too for it. Don Goodman had just signed for them and they gave the school free tickets for his debut v Southend I thinks
ExiledGeordie
I commented on a thread online that their attendance was embarrassing but a mackem fired back at me “you must be embarrassed by the 15k in 09/10 v Plymouth”. I looked at it as couldn’t remember it but anyone know what the attendance was so low that day? Protest, apathy from relegation? Pilko
Aye, Wednesday night replay versus the 3rd round Saturday. Our 15k was still crap that night but I'd love to know what they'd drag in if they'd drawn with Stoke yesterday and replays were still on the table. Probably about 8,000. RS
Just the 2000 posts and multiple threads on the Stoke attendance! would have been better saying the game was played behind closed doors due to supporter littering.

Groundhog63
It's a mute point any of them throwing a random, shit NUFC attendance back, tbf. Fact is they're in the midst of a season which may well be their most important, yet. That small gathering for the Stoke game is indicative of a deep malaise somewhat masked by over inflated, regular, attendance figures. If they don't go up now combined with our consistent improvement (lid will blow off IF we actually win something) the local interest in trampsville will lessen further. Aye it was a shit attendance, however tell him to compare every other attendance with theirs, including the 8000 they got against Mansfield four or five years ago
kingxlnc
Darren Eales on the recent stadium news said you have to find the right balance between demand and capacity to be able to generate consistent revenue at the right price. He was responsible for Atlantas 75k stadium build. If you overestimate demand and have too big a stadium for your needs you’ll forever struggle commercially. very clear that’s what’s been done here

Keegans Export
No, I think he's got a point. Investing hundreds of millions of pounds into a stadium they can't be bothered to turn up to as it is, in order to secure the occasional concert, is definitely a sound, logical decision.
