They are happy to cede possession, stay very very compact and therefore allow plenty of crosses into the box.  With our physical presence we should be able to take advantage.

I think people are overestimating them currently, they're 16th in the expected points table (second biggest overachievers after Villa based on xG) and have won a lot of points from late goals/goalkeeper fuck ups in tight games. The derby will be a tough game, but we're a better team than them

Unfortunately losing points from late goals/goalkeeper fuckups in tight games is our new identity.

Derby day is gonna be really interesting - all to play for, for both teams.

Who wants it more?

Nailed on loss then. Its secondary to us until after Leverkusen and its their biggest bar none. Given the choice, if beating Leverkusen was offered to us with the guarantee of knock-out stage CL, I'm guessing most of us would rather win that. Not the 'I miss the Derby's me like' lads, Champions League and cup runs! Bah! give them arguing with the locals about who finishes higher any day.

Didn't follow it at all so am only presuming they were second best again, though did see the goal f*ck me man, massive deflection off shit-heads arse could have gone anywhere so obviously flies in the corner. Not gonna says its better to be lucky than good because they're clearly (having watched nothing) both lucky and good.

Our physical presence in the box isnt from open play.

Derby game will be more of a cup final than it should be. Famous last words, but we should be 1 point behind them going into it, 2 at worse if they draw at City.

We win, then go above him as their players go off to AFCON. They could implode and go on a multiple game run without a run, whilst we keep winning games and by the time FA Cup comes round, we could be like 10+ clear, them out of the cup, us in it still and the narrative / mood is 180 to what it is currently.

Huge sliding doors moment for both. We lose, it will be unbearable and will give them even more confidence to ride the period during AFCON.

We need to do what Dortmund did to us other season, you don’t keep crossing into the box for CBs to deal with, you keep cutting it back to edge of box, between the lines and have your CMs take the shots.

Got to disagree the leverkusen game is of far less importance as practically through anyway and have other bites of the cherry.  It may have mattered for getting top 8 had Marseille not happened but saving an extra game in CL is again less priority than the derby for most people Id imagine.

They are basically us from a few years ago , limited technically but non stop running and fighting for everything . They obviously aren't as good as we were but that team we had that finished 4th would bully and outrun the one we have now easily, which is a worry for next weekend .

For anyone worried you can get about 3/1 on them to beat us, which is ridiculously high.

Can't believe we are odds on (10/11).

I can.  The bookies have ignored our away form almost every game this season.  We seem to be favourite in nearly every game I look at.  We started as favs against Barca FFS    Marseille were 2/1 when we played there last week.

Our team that finished 4th had a fit Wilson and very good Isak, not to forget a brilliant Botman and Bruno and others. I saw their game last night and they have nothing like quality.

I said it before on here that they are like us under Rafa but with a bit more pace and drive. That's a realistic comparison.

Flag failure Donald the cry baby talking his usual shite (he's definitely one of the SMBs on here). Nobody making any excuses at all you daft melt.

Don't really see how the second bit is patronising, they haven't suddenly morphed into Real Madrid.  Their team appears to have a great spirit and a lot of fight about them, and they are finding a way to get results.  Le Bris is getting the best out of the players he has, pretty much the same as Howe did.  Don't understand how that's an insult unless they're starting to get ahead of themselves.

They actually believe that they have a team full of players who are better than ours. Even though, if their players were put on sale in direct comparison to ours, it would be a whitewash in sale value. It was nice to see another lucky goal being cancelled out by an even luckier goal. Makes a change from what has happened previously.

I watched the game yesterday,  I don't get what all the fuss is about?  They were terrible, just hoofing it up the pitch against a poor Liverpool team.    If we play anywhere near out best football, we wipe the floor with them, simple as.    They have the excuses out all ready i see, Racist Keith spouting out about transfer fees etc.  The meltdown from them is going to be epic.

Need no excuses at all, if both teams play to their potential there is only one winner and it isn't your lot. I'm enjoying your lot having a multi-thread meltdown, in the event of you getting some bookings on Saturday. How's the flags going anyway? Still crying your eyes about it :bluestar:
