Miggys First Goal
28 minutes ago, Magpie said: Newcastle United are exploring the possibility of a high-profile pre-season friendly against Everton in Edinburgh this summer, according to The Chronicle. While still in the early stages of negotiation, the match would be hosted at Murrayfield Stadium, which boasts a capacity of 67,144. Given the short distance and large ticket allocation, the fixture would be expected to be a major draw for fans. Pilko
Champion that. Hopefully a friendly at the Pinatar Arena too as my folks only live round the corner and La Manga is only down the road.

Jackie Broon
Great stuff, finally maybe a realisation that the best way to attract worldwide support and increase revenue is by performing in the PL and European competition, not doing daft far-flung pre-season tours that are potentially detrimental to competitive performance. We were pretty much the away team when we played Arsenal & Spurs in pre-season. Definitely think we still need to do these sorts of trips but not every year.
