  It is fucking WEIRD to be here like "Two months until the season starts!" all excited.

Did we even have a fixtures thread last year?

It’s going to be torture waiting for the season to start!

Forest at home in the opening game is so much better than having Forest away on opening weekend on Sky and its LLLIIIVVEEE!!! Remembered when we only had a 3pm kick off on a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon against Coventry City in 95-96 and we won 3-0 and went on to have a great season. Watched it excitedly on MOTD like a kid on Christmas Day.

So instead of having the game being about Forest, we can make it be about us and our season ahead. Spank them 5-0 and we'll be on our way. Wor Flags are going to get us right up for the season ahead, I'm sure.

Had to have a quick check to see if the 5-0 wasn't the last time we played them in the Prem......it wasn't.

Remember beating them in a midweek at theirs in 99(?), think Hamman scored?

Ok, this is a long one. Assuming we have a really good (top 8) season, here is a way of gauging when we will, on average, pick up-points.

Rating the teams (last season’s position) into four tiers and predicting we will pick-up (rounded-up) 7pts from T1 (all tiers ten games except 8 in Tier 3), 13 pts from Tier 2, 16pts from T3, and 20pts from T4 teams.

This means the following points per game in that tier:

Tier 1 H 1 point

Tier 1 A 0.4

Tier 2 H 1.6

Tier 2 A 1

Tier 3 H 2.5

Tier 3 A 1.5

Tier 4 H 2

Tier 4 A 2

This would mean the following pattern of picking up points at different stages of the season and could give a sense of how on-track we are.

6.08.2022 Nottingham Forest (h)

10.09.2022 West Ham (a)

Yip and Shearer in a 2-1 win. We done the double over them.

I remember the home game being one of those weirdly cold ones despite being very early in the season. My sister had to watch most of the second half down in the concourse

Can only remember Ian fucking Woan anytime we play there regardless of the league or cup we play them in.

But recently, that loss in the Championship was pants too. Henri Lansbury was a cunt.

Did the Premier League allow the "big 6" cunts to avoid playing each other before the World Cup in the end?

No idea how this can be allowed. Oh yeah, the "big 6" run the league so of course it is.

Also based on this schedule it’s looking like Tottenham @ home for my first SJP match. How hard are tickets going to be to get?!

Sure someone on here will sort you out in advance.

There’ll be a thread on the Tickets forum in due course, so just whack a post in there.

That was such an odd game, Lansbury got 2 sent off winning 2 pens but Darlow saved both of them. And yet we still ended up losing [emoji38]

Well of course we lost, it was 9 vs 12 [emoji38] We took the lead despite the red cards and then had a perfectly fine second disallowed for no reason. Both reds rescinded post game.

Tbf it was 1-1 until 88 mins or something [emoji38] Just a bit surreal to save 2 pens in a game and still lose it, bet Darlow was gutted
