Many a penny will need to be spent in the summer to replace him. I thought he had another season in him before the season started but I was waaaaaayyyyyy wrong. That was an unforgivable error.

The mistake is bad enough. But I wasn’t even worried as he had 3-5 working days to get up and fall on the ball.

It’s like Callum Wilson x 10. Been a quality player. But with every game that goes by, he seems to get worse.

11 games since a clean sheet.  A metric used to slag off Ramsdale (when it was much less), but overlooked when Pope's fanboys are on their insane defence of him.

He got mugged off for Everton's first (dumbass) and fucked up the second. Yeh, defence was poor...but he's there for those exact moments.

BUT...we have no other options. So we need to buckle in

There is no benefit to him over Ramsdale. They make the same fuck ups this season but at least one can pass a ball. This is Darlow/Elliot levels of shiteness these days.

Ramsdale makes mistakes no doubt.  But I can't remember even one that's as bad as any number of Popes clangers this season.  How many has Pope cost us?, not just with a inability to save things he should but with direct clangers?, 4?, 5?, maybe more.

Shame how it’s seemingly going to end here with him as he was great

He couldn’t have done that at a worse time, just after levelling it when the game could have turned our way.. brutal stuff

Appreciate what he’s done for us but we’ve really got to do better now. Being a ticking time-bomb on the ball is one thing, not saving anything marginal another, but gifting away goals for a laugh no team can afford.
