joeyt
Mundial ran a poll to see what people used to call it when anyone was allowed to be in goal. Rush keeper for me
Wullie
I think for us, rush keeper was where the keeper could come out and play but was still the only person who could use his hands. Fly-and-rush was where anyone could be the keeper.
joeyt
Now I think about it I think ours was similar. Rush= a certain outfield player was the only one allowed to be keeper Fly= anyone could be keeper
Kaizero
We just called it "keeper", because whoever got back to the goal first had to yell "keeper" before they could touch the ball with their hands.

Yorkie
Rush keeper was any player, but they had to shout "keeper!" before pulling off, in my case, a worldie.

HawK
Aye, rush could play anywhere (not even sure why this distinction was made in hindsight, did we tell our mates in goal they had to stay back ) whereas fly meant anyone could be keeper as long as they called it before touching the ball with their hands. Led to some amusing ball juggling between 2-3 people each calling keeper in turn.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Mundial ran a poll to see what people used to call it when anyone was allowed to be in goal. Rush keeper for me Rush if he came out. Rush and scratch if the last man back could use his hands.

leffe186
Now I think about it I think ours was similar.
