Abra Dubravka
VAR shouldn't be allowed in the FA Cup until the Semi Finals. Used at Everton today for example, but if the tie was drawn at Rotherham it wouldn't be in use. Going to be in use tonight with Arsenal/Newcastle, but not Boreham Wood/Millwall despite them being the same standard of fixture. Teams being able to use VAR are gaining an advantage through using a different standard of rules.

Away Day Gadgie
Thauvin and Memphis Depay are some recent ones doing well right now. Ligue 1 is a significantly lower standard than the Premier League though. There would be hundreds of names if you were including players from those types of leagues. Still World Cup, Champions League semi... And they’re prolific. They’d probably be good if they came back now.

You could also argue that the French league has improved in recent times. Marseille were Europa League finalist two years ago, Lyon and PSG were in the last four of the CL last year. Monaco always seem to spring a surprise. Also France are current World Cup Champions and Algeria(half of their players are basically French) are reigning African champions. There are some strong teams and players in Ligue 1. Monaco, Lyon, PSG have all beaten our top performing teams over the last two-three years.
gjohnson
Jon Dahl Tommasson Was gutted we didn't keep him after seeing him in preseason looking like a world beater, then he fluffed his first chance in a league game Sheff We'd and was never the same again. Although Dalglish didn't help by making him main striker . His career after us shows how badly we used him
