Hopefully we've learned from the Guehi saga, if the signs are there that a player isn't that arsed we need to move the fuck on, and quickly. I know that was mainly down to Parish, but we can't afford to piss away weeks and months chasing something that isn't going anywhere.

I'd like to think Howe's people have sounded out Pedro about coming here and he's presumably up for it. We don't even know if Chelsea are in for him.

Don't think Guehi had anything to do with it, he was just professional and continued to play for Palace.

Aye it was widely reported he would jump at the chance to come here and was close with some players after England duty. 100% palace or us not wanting to pay more. He was a consummate pro on the face of things at least.

That’s usually what happens before a bid goes in isn’t it? The Guehi transfer became a tedious saga but it seems like he was keen to come.
