Big Geordie
He will play on Sunday - whether that's from the bench - who knows.

Rich
His last two recovery times don't make for great reading, hopefully it's nowhere near as severe.
AyeDubbleYoo
Even an issue he'd normally play through would probably see him rested before the final.

Let’s hope it isn’t a bad one otherwise it could derail the season. Fingers crossed it’s mild and precautionary
Nobody
Tonight also shows why we can't sell him mind. As soon as we found out he was injured, the game went the way everyone thought it would. He's simply irreplaceable, whether you're talking £150m or £200m.
The Prophet
From Eddie's prezza: "It was a late decision, around midday. He didn’t feel right with his groin, so we didn’t risk it. We’ve got too many big games to come." "We knew he was feeling something yesterday. We hoped he would improve overnight but it didn’t improve enough." Ronaldo
I’d rather be cautious. We simply cannot afford to lose him for the cup final and the remaining league games. Totally get if he’s not risked at the weekend too. Edited February 27 by Ronaldo
RS
Last night proved we’re a 1 man team. No threat without him. #prayforisaak

If he’s fit we have a chance in the final and I’d go as far to say I’m quite confident we’ll get top 5 looking at the remaining games.

beardsleymagic
Although I agree that we are obviously not the same team without him I think we need to remember who we were playing last night.... Most teams look like that against them. Just move on and hopefully Eddie has learnt a few things that we can use in the final and cause what would now be a bit of an upset

Arsenal without Saka, Liverpool without Salah, City without Rodri etc I'll be gutted if Salah signs with Liverpool again and they don't lose him on a free. Them winning the league this time is a fair compromise for them not getting a mental Saudi fee for him last summer. No moneyball advantage for their data people now, so his replacement will cost them very big.
The Prophet
From Hope: "My information today is that, while there is every chance Isak will sit out Sunday’s visit of Brighton, there are no fears of the groin injury that saw him miss Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat at Liverpool being serious. Rather, if the tightness is linked to fatigue, the schedule allows for the Swede to have a period of rest before the trip to West Ham a week on Monday." The Prophet
We're not a one man team, but we're also a far lesser team without him. Largely due to the drop off in the quality of his replacement.
