You think Isak needs to do that?

This [emoji38]

He's the best number 9 on the planet (the only thing that brings this into question is his comparitively awful stamina).

We need to get Ekitike in, challenge Liverpool, and then offer him silly wages.

Two summers in a row they've tried to unsettle one of our most prized assets (Gordon last year). Fuck off.

It's not like the club isn't already doing enough to convince the likes of him to stick around, but we could do with making progress on either a new contract or elite signings. Ideally both.

All hinges on him now we're at this stage. Fuss for a move or don't.

If we get £140-£150m for him that unlocks the PSR conundrum for us and we can build an actual squad. We might to moneyball the fuck out of it to make up his goals in the margins but fuck it - it’s worth doing imho. I like Isak but there’s other young strikers out there.

150 is the minimum to even start thinking about it.

It would need to be £150m + for us to even consider it - every player has their price though.

I imagine it is just Liverpool making it clear they want him so he doesn't sign a new deal - then they will return next summer

Why hasn't this been rejected flat out already?

According to the tweet, its not a 'formal bid', just what they've allegedly said.

So nothing really to reject yet.

£120m doesn't even register a response. It's a clear unsettling tactic despite which I'm not remotely concerned.

Should they start making serious bids (£140m+) then perhaps it might have legs, but as is, I fully  expect him to be in a black  & white shirt next season.

By all accounts we offered them Gordon last season, right?

Look, we've got to be pragmatic here. If Isak wants to go, he'll go. If we get £150m for him, we've proven we can bring in good quality and kick on, albeit very slowly.
It wouldn't be ideal, but we've lost players before and been fine. That said, i still think he'll be here at the start of the season

It makes no sense to sell for anything other than an absurd price. We'd leave ourselves with no striker and put ourselves in a terrible negotiating position for replacing him.

Agreed it has to be ludicrous money to even contemplate selling this summer, as in “well we can’t turn that down”. 120m 😂

They need a striker this season tbf. But we don't need to sell so they need to look elsewhere.

Not at 120m with 3 years on his contract it doesnt.

Absolutely and to be frank, if Isak wants to sign for Liverpool and they are unsettling him id make it perfectly clear that Liverpool have to pay an additional premium for the disruption caused.
