Of all the big swinging dick moves, us announcing this week that Isak has signed a new deal will be the biggest of them all.

That right now is a bigger statement of intent then any club record signing.

Heard we were going to talk to him about a new deal when the season ended. Has there been any info about how that is going, or if talks have even started?

Fun fact: they shot the second scene entirely with ethically sourced piss from NUFC fans' reactions to not signing Roberto Baggio.

Not saying Ornstein isn't reliable, he's obviously shown that he is, but this summer he's definitely being challenged to prove it.

Feel like he’s gone earlier with info this summer. He used to only tweet when it was a done deal.

I swear sometimes we're generally just being played, constantly, so the engagement is managed and maximised. These cunts all know each other; certainly the sprawling rabble of hacks with an affiliation to the Athletic network. Ornstein and Laurens are probably in the same WhatsApp group.

Probably. There was a time when Ornstein only really posted when things were a sure thing too, as Supertoon says.

People can accuse others of being "bedwetters" or whatever but out of two scenarios; A) we're bidding for Ekitike as a contingency should Isak leave or B) were paying £75m+ out of our limited budget for a rotation option / Howe is suddenly going to change system and play two upfront.

I think it's perfectly logical for people to think A is more plausible.

B is actually what they are trying to do though. We know that because they've told us. Unless you think we are being lied to?

Also its not a rotation option. In the same way Haaland isnt a rotation option but occasionally sits on Cities bench.

STOP PANICKING ️ .

There is no need to get all antsy until he either puts in an official transfer request or he gets sold. This is just Liverpool stirring the pot. I believe he wants to stay, and by bidding big money for players such as Hugo, we are giving him more reasons to stay. We're showing him how ambitious we are.

So please, chill 😎

Liverpool cunts know what they are doing though either way. They are ensuring if we want to keep Isak and keep him happy then we need to give him fortunes in his new contract.

Also potentially driving up the price for Ekitike if they are entering the race.

Whatever the outcome, it's going to hit us in the old financials.

I can't keep up with reporters.

I could've sworn most people tossed him off relentlessly not long ago but I'm seeing more and more hate of late.

Am I mixing him up with someone else or where did it all go wrong?

Like all reporters, if they say something people don't want to hear, regardless of whether it's true or not, the fume will follow.

Clubs don't make an approach unless they know a player is interested in the move. Months of research goes into it.

Or so I've heard.

If we agree a fee with Liverpool, I have no doubt he'd be interested. He'd be a bit mad not to keep his options open.
