He might have the season of his career coming up. 30+ goals. Suddenly becomes a £170m player.

Not now his head has been turned by Liverpool. He'll be playing like Gordon and worth about £30m soon.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned in all this is....surely the other cartel clubs won't just sit by and let Liverpool have a free run at Isak if we agreed to sell him.

Surely he almost ensures a period of Liverpool dominance if they get him and those with the cash to compete with them won't want to allow that to happen. Even if they don't need him you would think Man City will join the race even just to drive up the price atleast.

That more than anything suggests we're looking at a lot of speculation in Liverpool fans' heads. And the media industry that is happy to serve up content lapped up by Liverpool fans and any rival fans that can get sucked in.

6th fastest to 50 PL goals and only one team wants him and thinks they can set the price?

Even though Trent, Konate, Diaz, Mac Allister (apparently), VVD (before big contract), etc. all want or have wanted out?

100 % certain Arsenal have enquired about him. Then they decided to get Gyökeres. So they have been told no chance.

With 2 years left we could get 150M no bother but we will have renewed his contract by then

We will but he’ll want a get out clause I imagine. The notion we’d accept 120m this summer is laughable though.

The arrogance of Liverpool fans is quite astonishing to be fair. I never liked Liverpool before but they are definitely my least favourite team and fan base now.
Mind you most of the apparent Liverpool fans who are tweeting have probably never been to Liverpool never mind anfield.

Yup.

Arsenal fans were really irritating with the Isak thing.

But Liverpool fans have been flat out condescending and disrespectful.

Can't help but think of this as a win. That little French dick has never wanted to play for us and we get to keep Isak. Now let's crack on with other targets and concentrate on the positivity from last season. HTL.

lets get a cheaper backup option who is still levels better than Wilson of course and with the money saved go big for a defender, GK and ideally a midfielder who comes as rotational.

Might give us a free run at Guehi now?

No one else can afford him. Man City walked away from Wirtz because it cost too much

Isak will go to PSG or Real/Barca imo.

More worried about Gordon going to Liverpool late in this window. I was already resigned to it. Given this Ekitike/Isak debacle that will piss me off far more now.

We hold all the power though. I love Gordon, but his value is £80m mark. They come in with that, we have to consider it because there’s plenty of talent in LW out there, just may not have same traits, but we will sell a top player soon as it’s only natural.
