I've never minded Liverpool all that much tbh. It's more the way Liverpool are portrayed that I mind. Always, almost holier than thou and like they cannot do any wrong.

I don't like the way Isak has supposedly conducted himself here more than the way Liverpool have. Think it's just a bit disrespectful to say the least. Probably doesn't want to outright hand in a transfer request so he doesn't lose whatever loyalty bonus. Either that or he has behind closed doors and they told him no...

Shocking that it took THIS to make you hate them like a normal person tbh.

I'm a yank with no (meaningful) ties to any region. I missed their dominant period and i started following football around the 2002 South Korea / Japan world cup so Man U felt far more deserving of the hate due to recent histories.

Then we had ashley and his parade of villains to hate about ourselves and there wasn't much time for anyone else for a long time. Even a month ago I would have said they were a bit mawkish and cringe-y but not really scornworthy. absolutely fuck them now though

Think I hated them the most when Gerrard was there. That game he slipped is one of my favourite sporting moments of all time. Then Klopp ran that very close at times. They’ll be back to my most hated club if they sign Isak, followed by Chelsea, followed by Man U, followed by Arteta + Arsenal’s fans

Love the city of Liverpool, one of my favourite nights out in the country and am real good mates with a few scousers. But they’re all Evertonians, so always preferred #TheEv even in spite of how hilarious they’ve been the past few years and how weird our and their chronically online fans have been about each other in the last decade.

Not been overly fond of LFC, though I massively respect Spirit of Shankly for what they do and the Hillsborough groups/families for what they’ve done and been through. Their fans were mostly sound before and after the final but again their online, likely non scouse fanbase make them unbearable.

They're awful, uniquely so. They've an attitude which seems to pervade their entire fanbase which is sanctimonious, self-righteous and self-congratulatory. I know it's not cool to refer to it these days, but the Gospels is strewn with paragraph after paragraph warning one of such characteristics in people, and for good reason.

Spent basically every other weekend in Bootle for a lot of my childhood, my grandad was a scouser, and as sanctimonious as it can be, have a lot of time/envy for the City's socialist history, and there's a lot about its people that reminds me of geordies, so have a soft spot for scousers in general.

Liverpool and Everton as football clubs though can get in the bin along with every other club in the world, particularly Liverpool's plastic armada of 'fans', its sanctimony, and the media furore around them.

I always wanted Liverpool to beat Man Utd in every NW reds derby. That's about to change

Manure also gave us that result against Villa, for which I'll be grateful for at least a few month [emoji38]

I think you’ve raised a good point. The scousers I know from Liverpool are really sound, proper football fans, were straight to text congratulating on the win. The wider fan base from London etc is horrific thesedays, and the social media lot, dear oh dear. I actually don’t mind Liverpool too much because of the sound lads I know.

I've always hated them, being honest it's felt irrational at times.  I've probably mentioned it a few times on here, I can't stand them.  Getting bottles yarked at us for nee reason whilst stood outside the flat iron (after being directed there by the bouncers from the Arkle after a game) didn't help.

But I couldn't stand the cunts before then anyway.

Entitled fanbase with the media right under their wings, it's lifting. (excuse the unintentional pun...ffs)

Can not stand scousers especially Liverpool fans, maybe the 80s encounters with their blade carrying fans has clouded my judgement, especially at the ironically named Stanley park.

Eurgh. It’s like that option of going forward into your mam or back towards your da. Either option is rotten.
