So if we get the £150m offer you think we should sell?

I’d love to see us still say no and knock it back. I think the optics are important here, but it’s a balancing act with the practicalities of Howe managing the situation which must be difficult.

The only question that remains then is….why haven’t the club put out an official statement saying he is not for sale? That would instantly kill this saga stone dead.

So you’d have to think that even the owners haven’t truly made up their mind what to do about Isak. And it’s this indecision and lack of leadership which is killing us and making us a laughing stock.

I reckon the club doesn't need to personally. Liverpool, if you believe the journos, were surprised we said no to their bid, with no counter or set price, so they wont bid and will wait until, like Romano says, we "open the door" for them.

Thats as close as to saying not for sale as you like.

Do you think the board will pay attention to all the Twitter drama and stuff from IndyK? Should they say something about what Romano is saying? I dont think clubs do that.

Isak's not for sale, but if Liverpool bids 150 or more, then he's gone. It's really that simple.

According to Ryder (I know but he hasn’t been that bad this summer).  Isak was offered an olive branch to come back in for these friendlies but his reaction forced Howe to take him out of the picture all together.  very telling that

Even more reason to not let him get his way

So he is for sale then. [emoji38]

Which would make Edwards' story completely untrue.

They don’t need to say on the website. They’ve said it to the one club who’s been absolutely complicit in this, the player and his agent.

But surely its the fans that need to be thought of here? Its the support that is going through the ringer with this nonsense. Therefore, grow a set, make a statement to your own supporter base and kill this bollocks stone dead.

I'll be honest like I feel like whatever the club do/don't do people will complain on the Isak scenario this summer

They did! scouser I know refuses to talk about TAA [emoji38]

Can't stand it man, I've got no issues with people not being from the area and adopting a club but fucking hell turn your brains on.

Isak is acting like an absolute cunt and has no excuses whatsoever for what he's doing.

Nah, he's not. We told Liverpool, "Nope" and that was that, no other offers or anything.

I'd take 150, but the club might not. That's just how it is, based on what's happened so far.

Isak's not going anywhere.

That’s where I want to point out, no one said the club would let him go if the 150m price is met. That’s what we and the journalist believe, but imo this could be wrong.

If the Saudi is taking the toughest stand, the club would still reject the 150m bid and force Isak to stay and apologize.

Isak could rlly be not for sale at any price.

Reddit really yukking it up in the comments here

Most fans on Reddit are international fans that think see the sport through the lens of a few clubs. We’re a feeder club that should bend the knee, not cause trouble.

but now he knows it’s completely dead.

As much as I want it to be.... I'm not so sure it's completely dead.

The noises from us are correct and how they should be IE 'he's going nowhere'

But can anyone actually envision him playing for us again? I'm not so sure so I can't bring myself to rule out a late departure.

This is a club which literally refused to let Suarez join Arsenal when he wanted to because of a technicality in the wording of a release fee clause. Absolute scummy club who my hatred for has grown to an unhealthy level this summer. I already hated the fuckers.

That's the thing, right? Just because we'd take 150 doesn't mean he's up for grabs.

Real Madrid might offer 170m for Tonali tomorrow. We'd probably take it. But that doesn't mean Tonali's on the market.

It's gotta be an offer we can't turn down.

The wording was fine btw, they just simply refused the head of research in his book admitted they would have lost any case.

They activated the media shills and had arsenal mocked endlessly.

Something to do with Suarez and agent thinking it was a release clause, but wording was just that it allowed the player to talk to other clubs, no mention of having to accept it? Schoolboy error but pretty scummy unless I've got that wrong.

Still hate the twunts.

I genuinely can't decide which would be worse to read, r/soccer or the comments page on a BBC Football article
