Could easy see Isak coming back to Newcastle at some point in the future to finish his career tbh

If you look up "Piss Take" in the dictionary there is a picture of this post.

My sadness has moved to excitement to see Woltemade play

Absolutely buzzed for Wissa and Woltemade!

The minute Isak was gone was the minute I stopped caring. Not worth the negative energy. Infact the best thing we could do when he returns is just stay silent and ignore him. Boos would only motivate him and his teammates and likely make ours risk cards going in hard to impress lol.

Something not right there.

The first period is the team cooking after Sandro moved to #6. This was great for about a dozen games, but has probably been "found out" by now. I would not claim it was necessarily sustainable for our team or for Isak.

Isak did not react well when Eddie picked Wilson over him, as in the Man U Carabao final. Ekitike has started well at Liverpool and there is fair chance Isak may not be an instant a success (without a preseason) or get shunted around without being an automatic choice in a regular 9 position. We may see the sulk return, even in red colours. Even if he does well and god forbid outscores Salah, it is likely the toys will be out of the pram again if he does not get Salah money.

Have only got round to reading the latest Hope article...

Quote

Howe and Isak had not spoken since his statement, and senior players within the dressing-room were angered by his conduct. We were told of one player having to be calmed down by a compatriot after a meeting on the subject, such was the strength of his feeling for honouring the badge.

I am guessing we all assume it was Big Joe and Bruno?

I'd be lying if I said I don't care any more, Isak was one of the best strikers in world football for us and I think that will sting for a while seeing him play for them lot and score goals for them. We've lost a major talent, no matter how you look at it. Yes, there's things I won't miss, his attitude being the most obvious, but it still stings the way this all transpired and I was adamant he wouldn't actually get to go through with it this season, right up until the last few days of the window.

Having said that I'm also excited to see what our new front line of Wissa and Woltemade can produce and I think once we start cooking with those two, the rat will become a distant memory. In a way this international break has come at a rubbish time as I think we need to fumigate the place and that will only come with wins.

It's perfectly acceptable to be excited for the future but also feel betrayed and a little sad at the loss of such a good player. I think it's also OK to hope it all comes crashing down like a house of cards for the dippers and for judas to have a mare of a season and we finish above them.

Aye right… . Not even for the reunions mate.

When we have a ceremony for the tenth anniversary of the league cup win or something, we’ll burn an effigy in his place.

That is true but isn't that when he had spat his dummy out so Eddie had to have a word - then he got firing. Anyway he's gone now - he's a rat.  We move on - Woltemade is the future.

Weren't we just a bit average in general start of last season other than pretty much Barnes?

I always thought he was just passing through in all honestly. I was resigned to him going next summer. I hate the way he’s behaved and the disrespect shown to the club, but I can’t get too upset about him actually leaving given who we’ve brought in.

The plan was always to trade and Eales said as much. My main concern, especially earlier in the summer, was the lack of clever signings coming in from good scouting. We’ve somehow managed to get ourselves into a good position squad wise, but I hope there’s some extensive work done now behind the scenes to sort everything out.

I still feel sick about this transfer and that we let him go. It just opens the door for other players to do the exactly same and use this as example. When you let this happens, it will come back hauntintg in the future. Of course not all players are cunts like Is*k but this did not harm his career at all.

I understand the business decision to get hell of lot money but the way it happened and that we said the whole summer he is not sale and still let him go after those actions is not good for business.
