I’m sure my post will be useless come season end, but he was the king here - all of the ingedrients in the bowl were mixed for him to have his cake and eat it too and he treated all of us like complete tossers. His return to the top of the mantle may take longer than he envisioned, but hes going to have to work for it. Hugo Ekitke is also searching for that same one.

He's now starting to pay the price for his shitty behaviour over the course of the summer. He took the choice to go on strike to force a move through and it's meant it's completely fucked one of his prime seasons. He's looked pretty dreadful so far this season as a direct consequence of the way he's gone about things, stay or go - deliberately sitting out a pre-season is nothing but self-sabotage for his career. He'll still score a fair few this season but if he'd just kept his head down, been professional and put the hard work in over June and July he'd be flying right now.

But he didn't. And he's not. Actions have consequences, cunt

Outside of our system he’s completely average

time Will prove this

Think he'll do better against better opposition annoyingly, his worst kind of games have always been when the team he is in is the one with a lot of possession, with us and before us. When he gets to counter or given more space he'll be deadly as usual.

[emoji38] Palace haven't lost in 18 games and sit second in the table.

(I get what you mean though. The Big Six)

Great to see him using important competitive games at Liverpool to get some fitness back after going on strike. I'm sure the Liverpool fans will still come up with a reason why the strike was a good idea.

International break soon, and Sweden's next game is a vital one against our own Fab (break his legs!) and Switzerland. Pressure's on Sweden and their lovely manager to get some points on the board. He mightn't be as receptive this time to entreaties from Liverpool to go delicate on the lad and not tire him out.

I didn't want to tempt fate and mention it during yesterday's game, but the sad bastard I am meant I looked up how many goals Isak scored after the 60th minute. Last season, aside from the Brighton pen, there was only one, Spurs away near the start of the season. In his entire career with us, a quick look suggests only 13 goals were after 60 mins, including sub appearances. Seven of them were penalties.

Think it was Spurs at home but still an interesting stat. He always seemed gassed by then playing for us.

Schar has retired from international duty sadly.

Liverpool had the second highest average possession in the league last season, and are first so far this year.

How often will they find themselves sitting back, waiting to hit teams on the break? Maybe the Quarter Finals onwards of the Champions League depending on their side of the draw.

Unlike him to be completely uninvolved and do nowt unless there's a tap in or a pen to be had.

Telling you - always said it, Murphy has alot to do with why Isak was so good for us, the guy was an assist machine for him.

He's definitely underestimated the impact Howe, Murphy and our fans had on his game here, Liverpool won't treat him like a king, he will never be their "main man" and the fans have already started to turn on him wanting to send him back.

When Wissa is fit he will prove its our system that provides the goals for the striker.

True this, and looking at his career he was in a bit of a slump before coming to us. Hes in the peak of his career now so the pressure on him is through the roof.

Yeah he had some absolutely amazing games and scored a lot of goals. Having said that, I genuinely think that the games where he was unplayable wasn't many at all. So much quality yet quite "poor" in general play for large parts. His ceiling has always been ridiculously high, but he has always struggled with consistency. Goal wise he has definitely been more consistent in the last couple of seasons, but not so much in his overall game.
