They were one of the worst Premier League winning sides I can ever remember there being tbh and said so throughout last season. Nothing remotely special.

 

Salah last season has also been massively overrated. His stats were incredible and he was like an assassin with the way he had those real clutch moments of effectiveness (including against us) but his overall performances don't come close to the all-time jaw-dropping individual seasons it's compared with, including his own.

 

This season I thought they'd push on and get better but not win the league. Them getting hugely worse and not winning the league is great, I just wish it wasn't vying for the highlight of my season as a Newcastle supporter.

Their downfall has been glorious after their antics in the summer transfer window. 

 

At the beginning of the season I was inclined to avoid watching Liverpool altogether because I was certain Isak would be scoring for fun and it would be a disgusting spectacle. 

 

Now I can't get enough of watching these lot get pumped every weekend.

Eddie built the team around his game, I just dont think he works when he has to fit in, it looks like the plan was to add Ekitike to stand in for Isak for the massive amount of fixtures we have lined up, that went tits up and I can only praise Eddie and his team for going down a totally different tactic set up, Wissa will make a huge difference.
