Shades of Ronaldo at Man United second time around where he over estimated his ability to have power over the manager.

Saudi seems an obvious move but I wonder if Salah’s ego will allow him to move there just yet.

Think extending him was such an own goal, I get why, but this seemed such an obvious end result. Leave a hero or hang around long enough to become the villain.

Salah is the symbol of them going from a nearly club (in relative terms) to a legit threat for the title and CL on a consistent basis. He’s definitely an intangible that’s hard to replace long term.

Agreed.
Ronaldo was right about Ten Hag too.

He’d not fit our model at all but would love if we hoyed a 15/20m bid in for him and got like 1.5 seasons out of him of his last years form. The dippers would hate it.

What, ahead of Murphy? 😏

Ok. They get 37.5k now. Jesus 🤣. Like they couldn't get 40k plus

They get 36.5k now. When we played them in the Championship it was their 1st sell out in 9 years and they had to apply for a safety certificate so that they could reopen their upper tier [emoji38] They've NEVER averaged 40k+ in their entire history. Not even 1 season. We've done it 35 times. The 2 clubs aren't up for comparison when it comes to support.

Love how the Isak thread has transformed into the Liverpool thread, courtesy of a Salah meltdown and Slot being found out.

It's all the more sweeter given what happened with Isak and Slots own assertion that such a thing could never happen at Liverpool.

Yet here we are... 🤣

Did he say this?

In the 15 PL game Isak and played 481 minutes and in that time they've scored 3 goals. A goal every 160 mins

They've played 869 minutes when he's not played and in that time they've scored 23 goals. A goal every 37 mins.

Isak is their problem.

He's got over a hundred assists for them man!

Not knocking Murphy but there is no comparison

Murphy has proved himself a decent Premier league level player capable of contributing in a team pushing to catch the best.

Salah has been a fucking legend over the last decade (feels dirty saying it but howay)

Totally different players though Murphy looks to get the ball to striker quickly salah likes to cut in or have a pop first. Salah is a lazy player, and trent leaving shows him up massively as he was trents first perogative and excelled his numbers because of the service he provided.

Salah and Gakpo are both goal scoring wingers. Gakpo especially couldn't see any easy pass, just cuts inside. Murphy's first idea when he gets the ball with some space is to look where the striker is.

And to add to that, Liverpool are attacking sooooo slowly. Isak is totally useless in that system.

Im not sure lazy is the right word. I think they actively played in a way that saved his legs and allowed him to be so effective when they got the ball to him.

It’s just when the functioning of the rest of the team has went to shit a player like that can quickly become a liability.

You are right on Trent’s departure. He was a bit of football unicorn with his skill set. Progressive passing off the charts.

Salah should have jumped to Spain or PSG in the summer. That moves gone now as he's under contract for 18 months.

He'd have been good for the MLS as well, potential for a deal to be done there where he leaves for nothing.

Unless they sack Slot (a possibility obviously), they might end up having to let him leave for nowt, or at least just a small fee.

You can’t have someone on £400k+ p/w contributing next to fuck all.

Or he goes to Saudi and they pay many times what they should.
