Interesting to see what happens here.

Every report was consistent in saying JSL or Wissa would be Wilson replacements and would not open the door for Isak to leave.

Interesting if Woltemade is any different. If anything, Wissa and JSL were more "sure things" than big Nick. And its not like the money is a huge difference if its true we were willing to go to 60 mil for JSL.

Hope this hasn't changed the clubs stance on Isak. Wissa and 150 mil, fine. Anything else, tell him he's staying

Can Ben Jacobs just come out and admit he's a Liverpool shill. All their media pals are now being briefed to go into overdrive and push down Isak's value.

If Liverpool end up getting Isak for £110m that would be disgusting.

I still wouldn't accept anything below £140m

Among other things, that pile of bollocks says Isak will reintegrate if Liverpool tell him "a transfer is not possible", i.e., the fee we are asking is too high.

I think that is called a win-win!

Another thought about this 'being respectful and only bidding if asked' bollocks has also been another underhand tactic to drive down the price.

Did Barcelona 'ask' PSG to bid for Neymar? No. They bid top fucking dollar to get him because they knew that's what it would take to get one of the world's best players out of that club.

We absolutely shouldn't cave to Liverpool. They've been trying to bend us over all summer.

The worry is that Liverpool have no competition here, so they have no reason to go above £120m. And if PIF have weakened, also promising Woltemade that he's the replacement, then they may feel it has to be accepted.

Just have to hope and pray that the club says no. Because I cannot cope, physically, with seeing him in a Liverpool shirt, getting all that media love.

I think we could create a market pretty damn quickly if we put feelers out for a loan with obligation for a transfer next summer, or even a 2 year loan plus obligation with the total package being worth £150m plus over the 2 transactions.

Even more so if we looked at taking players the other way to help eachother out with PSR.

You've got Barca, Bayern definitely on the market for a striker purchase on 12-24 months, PSG would likely bite as well.

The market for Isak will be much better in January or the summer. Now that we've got our replacement, let him sulk until he's ready to sit on our bench and fight for his chance. Osula will have to be our stand in until that point. From this point onwards Isak and his agent will only be hurting their own market value if they want to continue to act the cunt(s).

Absolutely. I have no doubt that once the window closes Isak will want to be back in the fold anyway. We will have a squad capable of challenging for the title with him and Woltemade as our two strikers and with the excellent signings we've already made. Elanga and Ramsey in particular look like game changers.

The match on Monday started with the commentators saying "Liverpool have only bid on the player" as if they have done nothing wrong.

It is complete bollocks. They have tapped him up and offered him a huge salary, likely 300k plus, one we cannot match due to PSR.

Without it, no agent would put out that "only wants Liverpool" message which has been given to Romano and Ornstein 100% with Liverpool backing.

It's worse than this. They've colluded with him and got him to go on strike to drive the price down. Something they have form for.

This is why we can never sell to them and we shouldn't entertain any business with them period. Thoroughly dishonest club.

We get Woltemade & Wissa and this cunt could be launched into the sun for all I care. Couldn't give a tenth of a fuck what happens to him

Not at a discount price. Fuck that.

If you want one of the world's best striker you better be ready to cough up the asking price.

I still think we should sell this guy to Liverpool. Ekitike is elite, they don’t have any back up wingers, Konate is checked out, they are a VVD injury away from falling apart and they replaced Robertson with someone not even close to good enough for the level they want.

let them have a lopsided team

This is still a glorious opportunity to tell Liverpool, their relentlessly self entitled “fans” and their various media hangers on, to go fuck themselves. I really hope we do it. Worse case scenario he won’t depreciate in value that much and we sell next summer to any one else.

Capitulation is on its way to us isn't it? :anguish:

That's all well and good but did Respect FC submit the bid honourably with grace and decorum?

Yes, capitulation, by them. As we've seen with Wissa etc. the buyer does not set the price. A bit of pushing and that can be 140M or 145M.

Make Isak file a transfer request, preferably after telling SkySports we've accepted a bid. That way, the public will pressure him to do it, so as to not leave the their beloved LFC a striker short. Let him go, but make sure he pays for it.

Once our new lads are banging them in, you'll forget about Isak. The king is dead, long live the king.

Not a chance. Let's be clear about this nonsense situation. We had no intentions whatsoever of selling him so if Liverpool get him for 130 they've absolutely pissed on us.

If this sack of this showed up we'd be on 6 points and everyone in this league would be shitting themselves.

Let him go to Bayern for £120M.

If it’s the same as Liverpool’s £100+10, hell yeah, do it out of spite. Be so funny if we rang them up and said “Let us have Nicky for €80mil and Isak is yours for £100+10, Wolfgang”.
