One thing becoming more apparent is we aren’t as big as we think we are. Can’t agree wages or get transfers over the line, almost all transfer targets have joined other clubs, submitting bids much lower than asking prices, and players generally not wanting to come to us.

Pre season or not I was there last weekend and it was shocking, don’t even think Isak being there would have made much of a difference. If he wants to leave and explore let home go, bring in new faces, this will be down to whoever is available now and we are dealing with what’s left.

How much effect has Amanda leaving had on the whole structure now, somethings aren’t working anymore and it’s frightening.

Can someone do the archive thing? Mail+ is a joke.

I wouldn’t bother Kanj. Just read it and it’s a nothing burger - everything in there is an aggregation of other people’s tweets or earlier articles. Absolutely nothing new.

He wants gone.If it had just been another contract then you get your agent to negotiate, or you go to the boss. But he says he wants to explore his options; that’s a come and get me by any metric. I haven’t heard any denial of his statement; I think thats what he wants. If he doesn’t get shifted, it would be poisonous within the team and the supporters.

They say we might make a move for Bernard IF Isak goes. We’ll get wrong footed again. We cannot allow this to be down to Isak’s decision before we look at alternates. He has to make his mind up and get his agent to get cracking. We should be after the other lads now. We dont need a sulking player; its clearly unsettling the squad already. If nothing else, we have to show the squad a commitment to all their hard work last season - or we may face even more problems before the window closes.

At some point it may come out that Isak is unsettled because he’s had no support around him because of the lack of voices upstairs, so been led down a path that he regrets.

Strong arm around him, set the record straight and the narrative in the media may change. Wouldn’t be the first nor last player who’s been badly advised, and we’ve only got Howe to correct him on path who can only do so much.

My thinking the main reasons he wants out are possibly:

Lack of support on the pitch always being played as an isolated lone striker.

The club not matching his ambition.

The burglary making him feel unsafe in the area - it's notable that, although players have been getting burgled regularly for years, the club announced that they would be introducing new security measures in late May, right around when rumours of him wanting to leave started.

If that’s really a factor, someone might want to remind him his “dream move” is to a city where the crime stats aren’t exactly soothing either…

Why are we allowing dope unfettered access to the players on this tour. He’s upsetting the fans and the camp by quizzing them about this. Who tf is in charge? Why the hell were Bruno and Burn having to field questions about the future of one of their team mates. This is more embarrassing than Man U’s tour of Malaysia.

Wait till the injuries rack up from the three shite games out here.

Time to take a dump or get off the pot, there needs to be a swift resolution to this, whatever that is, rip the band aid off, time is a ticking and we need to know which way we're moving before it's too late. All this posturing through the press is resolving nothing.

Rushing into a sale because we can't handle the stress is exactly the wrong way to deal with this sort of thing. Best-run clubs are comfortable with being uncomfortable.

No disrespect to the folks back home, but nobody actually wants to go on these stupid Asia Tours anyway so I suspect the club was not all that bothered.

He's not going to sit out actual games that matter.

The prem restarts in 3 weeks he's not training injury or no injury wissa is not a slam dunk based on reports so yes its urgent bid or walk away. Don't be backed into a corner but someone needs to set a deadline either bid what we want by X date or we won't consider a date this window.

he’s on the plane because he’s in the team and he’s there to help there with his teammmates and do the job he’s paid to do even if he’s in the stands. And if he eventually is sold on this trip he and agent can sort out the flight to the buying club. He also can spend a week with his mates while they hopefully pummel him for taking a strike that materially impacts THE CLUBS success this upcoming season.

Al Hilal offering him 600k a week tax free.

what a world.

Saw that report and ended up reading about their offer to Mbappe when he was going into his last year at PSG ...

The Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have submitted a world-record bid for Kylian Mbappé, understood to be worth €300m (£259m), and are willing to pay the forward €200m for a one-season stay if that is what it takes to get the deal done.

They were going to pay that much for him and give him that salary for just one season and then let him join Real Madrid on a free

Maybe if they end up offering Isak a huge one year deal and the freedom to join Barcelona on a free next season they make something happen.

I wouldn't as if he is injured he needs to be rehabilitated with the best staff and equipment and that's all at home. Also if it's a groin strain long haul flights don't help with that.

I get PSR is a bit frustrating, but I’m glad there’s some rules (just not how tight they are right now), because if not we’d be signing every man and his dog under PIF, where novelty would quickly wear off when there’s no attachment to players. Tonali banned? Spend £200m. Never get to witness his redemption arc.

That is a very valid point, but the rules are staked against most clubs.

Its more than a little frustrating no rules big rich owners we all turn into Chelsea with a forgettable roster of shiny new players who are easily forgotten and cast off.

However for club's wanting to improve and have a go and willing to put money in to the club no real strings attached and its like we are in a 3 legged race where some of the legacy and pre any rules clubs have 3 fit and healthy legs and we are left with only 1 and asked to catch up and when we can't the legitimate reason  is you have to live within your means " like us".
