Hopes video was filmed prior to Liverpool briefing that they wont bid a second time.

The obvious thing to deduce, is that we should expect Isak to kick up a fuss but he has to be wondering if that's smart.

The smart thing for him to do is take a pay rise, accept a release clause and leave next summer.

They got the same rejection 2 weeks ago for a longgggg time. We didn't budge. Nothings changed seemingly and this is just an attempt to hit the press to see what happens next.

"Isak has told Newcastle he wont play for the club again" is the most obvious next step.

If he takes that nuclear step, let him rot.

..and stop paying him his wages

Andy Townsend is an idiot

I'll hazard a guess. He's on Talksport or some other outlet, telling people how we have overpriced him, we are denying Isak his dream move, and we should accept £110m which is a fantastic offer?

That will be the general narrative on some places, I reckon anyway.

If they value him around £120-130 and we value him £150m (guess work based on media speculation) they are probably hoping that if they start at £110 then we will meet them in the middle.

Fuck that.

What’s Toucher Townsend said?

Just talking shite on Talkshite - honestly do people take us for idiots to sell our only striker for less than asking and without a replacement?

PIF should tell Liverpool they will take Nunez off their hands for a ridiculous fee for the Saudi league, but only if they back off Isak.

Why would they need to do that, when a simple "fuck off, you arent getting Isak" would suffice?

If this stays the same, and it’s a big if, then Liverpool come out of this poorly.

They’ve bought a good midfielder, went for their second choice forward and got him, lost out on their main choice and still haven’t got a new centre half which is a priority for them.

If he stays there will definitely start to be a backtrack from media that he is over priced and injury prone and it's insulting that we value him so highly, especially if he starts the season shit as will be expected if he stays now......

all while for the past year they have been the ones hyping him in the press as the best striker in the league currently and how Arsenal must sit him etc.

So which is it? He's either top 3 strikers in the league and a unicorn player as they describe him in a era of few star strikers. Or he's over hyped and injury prone. Which is it?

best case scenario he signs a new contract out of the blue, wins the fans back over as he bangs in 30+ goals this season then we sell him abroad next year for £150m

didn't something similar happen with Suárez at Liverpool?
