Kids will want Isak shirts, they should be exploiting the market opportunity for all its worth. Kids love superstar players. madras Posted yesterday at 10:46 Share Posted yesterday at 10:46 His and Gordon's overall play yesterday was quite poor, they both gave the ball away loads and cheaply............but they are in one of those runs of form when they can have those games and still be confident of goals. PENKAAA Posted yesterday at 11:10 Share Posted yesterday at 11:10 So glad Arteta has turned Arsenal into Stoke City 2.0 so Isak looks at them and his stomach turns. That's not his game. Would be much more anxious over the link if Arsenal were playing their old way.
Dan Gleebals Posted yesterday at 11:47 Share Posted yesterday at 11:47 I lumped a few quid on him at 66-1 for PFA player for the year only a week ago. Price is down to 14-1 to 20-1 now. Salar odds on but if he keeps going like this, that might be a nice price. Again, he was on a different level last night and it feels like it is only just the start for him, not sure he really has a ceiling, and Howe will keep pushing him. Geordie Ahmed Posted yesterday at 17:27 Share Posted yesterday at 17:27 He was mint last night but the part I loved the most was the defending he did for that free kick, not many strikers would show that kind of awareness and then the graft to actually make sure he nullified the chance, just class

I thought the opposite of both players. They gave the ball away generally because they were trying off the cuff stuff like dummies and feints to throw the defenders. You do lose the ball more, but when it comes off it destroys defences.
Tsunami Posted yesterday at 19:52 Share Posted yesterday at 19:52 Reckon we should just take a circa 30M loss on him. He’s no better than Nunez.

RUHRLYASLEEVESUP Posted yesterday at 20:19 Share Posted yesterday at 20:19 Alexander Isak on St James Park:. "There is not many places like St James Park. I think the atmosphere is very, very special. And I think you can judge a stadium not just on the atmosphere, also like, on how difficult it is to come as an away team to play and perform. And I think that's were it gets special. It's a special place, because I think people really have a hard time coming to this stadium. Playing in the Premier League and for a club as Newcastle with a fan base like they have is obviously extra special." There is no where like it I know that! Even if Isak could for some reason only play a maximum of say 20-25 games a year and it was written into his contract. He would be worth more than that. £35m FFS

alexf
Seen shit like Simon Jordan on talksport laughing it up trying to say Isak's not in the same class as Henry and just basically trying to belittle him as much as possible. Why do people do that. He's creating his own path and whilst there are similarities (wears no.14, likes to drift into the left channel at times) Isak is very much his own player and doesn't have cheat code pace like Henry either so is never going to look quite as flashy. But again, Henry has a long legacy in the premier league and if we watch highlight reels etc then he's phenomenal, but I bet if you go back he would have had plenty of games where he wasn't quite firing etc. Same thing for Isak, you watch compilations of his best bits and he looks incredible but he also has had plenty of games where he's quiet or coming back from injury etc. Just find the need to try to downplay what he's doing because you don't think it's quite as impressive as what some regard as the premier leagues greatest ever player. Yeah ok whatever. Edited 19 hours ago by alexf

Jaqen
I mean he might not quite be at the Henry level but the thing that makes him so valuable is he's playing in era where the number of world class strikers must be at an all time low. I'm genuinely not sure if any side could afford him right now.

That pisses Jordan off, which is nice
Stottie
Thierry Henry is pretty much the PL era's greatest player but played in a way better team. Check out his teammates, listed here by who set him up. Young Cesc is just below the cutoff and played with Henry in that CL final they lost to Barca with the Jens Lehman sending off. By comparison, here's Isak with us. All good lads, but not many of em get in Arsenal's invincibles.

The College Dropout
Comparing to Henry is crazy. But Isak is the business. The real business and the league should want to promote him. Good looking lad and a proper baller. Haaland is amazing but he's not that enjoyable to watch.
Turnbull2000
Need to just hand the Almiron money to Isak over the next 3 years. If he continues at his current level, he's woefully underpaid. We need to move on from our mid-tier salaries if we're to hold onto these sort of players.
