No more cute  1 v 1 attempts Alex, just leather it please.

He's one of those players where you don't want them given too much time to think. Usually when he plays a one on one straight at the keeper, he scores a much more difficult volley or something later in the match.

Not going to compare Isak with Højlund because I do find that a bit silly.

However, Isak was absolutely a proved player already before joining Newcastle, there is no question about that. He didn’t have the same consistency as he has now, and has obviously improved further. But already att Real Sociedad he was a top player.

Made me think of when him and Ødegaard shredded Real Madrid in copa del rey 2020. Was fun to rewatch.

this goal at 1:50  Fuck sake.

The former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough player declaring about Alexander Isak ‘He hasn’t played in the Premier League. I haven’t seen the big clubs going after him and it’s a lot of money. I haven’t seen Barcelona or Real Madrid going in for him either and they would’ve seen plenty of him in La Liga. That’s a worrying sign.’

I mean he was wrong but you have cut the quote off right at the point when he says “but I’m not saying he won’t…”

Sounds like you want to marry him.

This is exactly how these so called big clubs and their fan bases actually look at things. Their egos get in the way!

A lot of times they won't just look at the quality of the player and trust the scouting info and data their recruitment teams spend so much time pulling together.

It has to be a 'big name' that other 'big clubs' are after.

It's exactly why they passed on both Bruno and Isak despite being linked with them so much prior to us making a move in both instances.

Long may it continue.

Now their fans are all over the place screeching for the club to spend big on the likes of Isak, Kudus and Cunha.

Absolute mugs man.

Jamie Vardy being the best example. Plucked from the lower leagues. The Elite would never sully themselves looking there... 😄

Arsenal will be more than sniffing around in the summer. If we get champions league he’s going nowhere, Europa league may still stay. If he decided he wanted to leave then whoever signs him is going to have to pay through the nose to get him. Arsenal paid 100m for Rice ffs.

He is starting to weigh in with assists this season.  But he really should have a lot more based on this.  Put it on a plate quite a few times and whoever is on the end of it has fluffed the chance.

Always found it odd that his assist numbers for us have been so low.  It's not like he's a poacher type or just plays between the posts.  Nice to see he is getting even more involved and creating big chances.

Arsenal want a striker - Isak is best in the league atm - lazy story.

When you look at clubs like Arsenal - and Man U for that matter - compare their strikers to Isak, even if it's a lazy story, you can believe they'd love to have Isak instead.

My point was that they are stating the obvious - doesn't mean it'll happen.
