WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Just print “RIP Queenie” on the back of all players’ shirts instead of their names and play the games ffs.

Johnny
With Guimaraes and St. Maximin still in doubt, I have no problem with that....
Mazzy
No point discussing this game now, will probably be played in 2023. Atleast we should have a fully fit squad in time for Bournemouth.
BoSelecta
I wonder when the EPL will announce. Surely Bournemouth game week goes ahead, fixtures are congested enough as it is. Edited September 8, 2022 by BoSelecta

Shak
Much as I was looking forward to this on Sunday, happy to have an extra week to get ASM, Bruno and hopefully Wilson back. Obviously condolences to you guys losing your Queen and all that
Nine
More time to regain fitness, wonder if this will be played after the WC now? Edited September 8, 2022 by Nine
TheBrownBottle
They cancelled Liverpool away when Diana died, I’m guessing same for Queenie. Sorry for those who are genuinely upset about all this, but the first thing that popped into my mind is that it gives Bruno, ASM and Wilson an extra week to recover. And maybe a Bank Holiday for us too (even here in Oz)
Kid Icarus
West Ham have injuries so it might have been better for it to go ahead but I'm not going to complain about ASM and Bruno getting more recuperation time.
TheBrownBottle
I hope all who have travel and accommodation sorted in London this weekend get refunds, in the way that I didn’t when Liverpool away was cancelled for Diana. Never understood that one - I’m sure it was rugby she liked. Or was that rugby players?
Geogaddi
Makes no sense cancelling a football match due to the queen dying mind , like fair enough if people want to mourn they can but why should everything be cancelled ?

It’s daft, and it’s taken my fix for the weekend - but we should be getting a day’s public holiday at least. And hopefully a vote on the monarchy at some point soon. Can’t imagine George VII (or whatever Charlie’s regnal name ends up being) being overly popular

HaydnNUFC
Operation London Bridge apparently details 9 days of mourning. In 9 days time is the Bournemouth game, absolute joke if that's postponed too. I'm aware no crowds were permitted then but there was just a minutes silence and armbands when Phillip died, all that's required. Especially in such a congested season. That would be utterly ridiculous. How many days off work do most people get when their granny dies?
Astroblack
When will the game be played? The World Cup is going to cut into the fixtures already.

nufcjb
I would have thught the Bournemouth game maybe in jeopardy as the funeral would be the next day most likely. Edited September 8, 2022 by nufcjb
