I think the problem for them has been defensively. They don't win the ball back as easily, and they aren't solid. As a result their attacking play has also been hurt. Everton will let them have the ball and play the game that they used to be so good at.

100%. I know there's lots of reasons for Man City's current "struggles" but Pep's teams have always been pretty ropey defensively it's just that teams are/were always too scared to have a go so just hoof it and give them the ball back so they can re-organise.

Dyche such a painful manager. Feels the last one of the era of “Go long, fuck the passing”. Must be so dull being an Everton fan.

I agree but the PL would be boring if everyone played the same way. So long as he doesn't manage us, it makes for decent viewing, from a tactical perspective.

I'd absolutely love to have Everton at home right now.

Just looked, 2 defeats in last 12 which feels good. But then its only wins against Palace, Wolves and Ipswich :D literally bare minimum to scrape by.

Going to stay up by virtue of playing Ipswich / Southampton at home in run in and with like 33 points int they?

Nothing decent about it, not even good transitions on counter. Just creates a ‘maybe they could nick it’ feeling, but overall viewing is shite.

If Everton played silky football it just wouldn’t feel right, that’s not what I expect from them. It would be like Vinnie Jones trying to win an Oscar. Everton suits Dyche and Dyche suits Everton, everything is as it should be there.
