brummie
We've been absolutely fucked by injuries for ages - Slot was yada yada ing about us being full strength in the week whilst ignoring the fact we have two centre backs out, and the best defensive midfielder in the league after Rodri - and playing so many games. We've been defending abysmally, unable to build any consistency, and plenty of not losing but not winning either. Too many chances to score untaken for too long. Too much giving the opposition early goals, I don't get where that comes from. Too much playing one good half and one bad one. I'll take where we are in the wider picture, CL, league, FAC etc, but I do think Asensio and Rashford is some clever use of the loan market. Asensio is unbelievably talented and Rashford has already started to produce. I dunno, we might finish fourth, we might finish tenth, but I don't care right now, it's exciting as fuck. and we were in the Championship five years ago so this is really great stuff. Everyone expected him to put in as much effort as he possibly could and play well early on. Give it 6 months. Let him earn his move, get comfortable, then see how he gets on. He will revert to type. samptime29
Top 4 is well up for grabs for several teams. Really need to win tomorrow. Vital. Edited 19 hours ago by samptime29

Newcastle Fan
At first i was hoping for a draw but seeing that Chelsea's next two games are easy wins and Villa have a few tough games coming up means it's actually a good result for us, must win tomorrow though. Menace
If they end up getting top 4 because of it, it's very smart business personally. Let's see what happens next season - I've been impressed with him at Villa though, looks hungry.
Wolfcastle
i'd rather have years of abject Rashford performances backing my point up than a couple half decent performances at a new club. Be flash in the pan territory for a good while yet. (as someone who didn't comment/care one way or the other)
leffe186
Watching the Arsenal game. How on Earth did Lewis-Skelly (or whatever his name is) not immediately get a red? I just don’t know what thought process could possibly have gone through the ref’s head for him to give a yellow card. This is the problem we have with VAR: it sucks but as long as refs suck even more it makes it hard to bin it off.
Cf
I know why they've gone with it but that was about 5 minutes of highlights for the lead game
The Prophet
Absolute cowardice not giving a straight red there

Easier to upgrade from a yellow to a red than vice versa but I totally get your point.

Without it that stands as a penalty though, and that’s the last it’s spoken about. Just another cheat being rewarded (again) for manipulating real-time perception. Zero
Looking at Asensio and Rashford making instant impact, makes me wonder just why we don’t get any reinforcement by loans, not even 1 during last year crisis
