ponsaelius
Sommer has been awful too, man. This is bizarrely poor.

Paullow
So 6 largely comfortable L16 wins, some of them extremely comfortable, and 2 penalty shootouts - there wasn't much middle ground involved. 7 favourites progressing, and one betting upset. Should make for some decent QFs. Obviously the matches have slowly eased off these past 8 days, first with the 2 matches simultaneously, and then dropping to only 2 matches a day these past 4 days, but strange to think there will be no World Cup football now until Friday. TheBrownBottle
Switzerland has been worse than shite here mind. Portugal are a good side and they've played well, but fuck me they've been aided and abetted in this scoreline
Kid Icarus
I don't think too much can be taken from this, like. Switzerland were crazily bad. Edited December 6, 2022 by Kid Icarus
DMC
You watch that and wonder how Switzerland got this far
Jaqen
Brazil and Portugal putting in the best performances so far last two nights and I'm not even sure you can take much from it. Both opponents setup horribly and made it about as easy you could hope for.
Rich
7/8 group winners through to the QF.

Flip
Portugal have to be the favourites after this. Sure, Swiss players looked ill. But that is a class performance.

Yep, all well-taken. It is a really good Portuguese side and they play decent football - and they'll be eyeing up a semi now given the opposition. I just hope Morocco make more of a game of it - the Swiss were embarrassing there

Geordie Ahmed
Only 7 more proper games to go, WC has flown by. Portugal and Brazil are the only guarantees in the semi final imo

Dandy Man
Don't think Portugal would go off favs against England or France in the SF, be fairly tight but they're probably dogs in both scenarios

That reason was Ronaldo and their set up. Now that they finally play as everyone has suggested, they win 6-1.

Pata
That Portugal squad is ridiculously talented and tons of options off the bench too. Think they are a legit contender now, hard to say anyone to be definitely a lot better than them.

Leao is hardly unknown if you watch any continental football at all.

I mean, your lads were just as impressive last night tbh. Personally would have Brazil as slight favourites over France and then a bit of a gap back to England, Argentina and Portugal who are all much of a muchness IMO. Anything can happen, of course, but I have a hard time seeing any of the other three winning it. Second round was a bit shit tbh, hopefully the quarters are a bit better.
