Don't think that would be much of a surprise, a new coaching voice and a less physical league will suit him no doubt.

Indeed, but a lot people are idiots

Will remember him for this goal mainly, no hard feelings from me toward him.

Just turned up when he felt like it sadly

I'm just glad it seems to have been sorted quickly. I've no idea if it's a fair fee or not, you could argue either way.

But possibly putting two and two together and getting it wrong here, but it seems like he's wanted away for a little while at least and if so I'm glad he's away from the squad.

A bit ungrateful towards Howe in my opinion, as we took him on and helped make him a better player, and then he wasn't trusted in the run in when we had a chance of Europe, but there you go.

You can’t use Elanga as a benchmark for other fees, we grossly overpaid for him and are mugs for doing it.

But you can when stating we're going backwards. It's an actual relevant example. We are now much worse off than this time last year, and people are celebrating it like a good thing.

If reports of bayern being 20m below value how fucking low was their opening offer cheeky gits

They earn fucking loads from cornering the whole German market. No sympathy for the tightfisted cunts.

£70 million plus a sell on fee is good business for someone who has 3 open play goals in 16 months to be fair.

No hard feelings towards him, hes been good for us in spells and its quite obviously a good move for everyone involved.

If it’s £75m that’s £50m book profit.

£75m fee less £20.5m amortisation remaining and £4.5m to Everton (15% of £30m profit).

Mad how he’s got a move to Barca, don’t think he’s that level. Not really “elite” at anything. I do remember listening to Hope on a podcast not long after he signed, he was saying the club thought his pace gave him potential to be an elite player.

Best of luck to him I say.

I do worry he's going to have a very good world cup and leave us regretting £69m.  Not because we'd all believe he could have come back and been very good for us.  But just because other teams could be fooled into £80m + addons on the back of that.

Is that stat accurate? Incredible if true.

They're 100% going to unsettle Woltemade to the point they get him on loan or something shit this summer.

Other risk is he gets injured and we are stuck with him, although I do see your point.

Glad it’s done and dusted early doors tbh.

It’s a good sale and I’m hoping it will fund rebuilding the front 3, because none of them have been good enough for a while.

I’m surprised it’s Barca he’s going to, he’s not the type of player I’d associate with them.

One great season the rest was underwhelming to say the least.

Soon as the headband came out it was time to get rid.

Yeah growing his hair out was the beginning of the end for sure.

Should have stated, that's Premier League.

Much rather sell him for 75 mill to Barca than 90 mill to Liverpool or ManU

It's a deal that works all around. Glad that it happened so early in the window, instead of dragging on until August
