Looks a completely different player when he is up front now, pressing and grafting like mad. Fair play to him, if he continues doing it then he will certainly stop getting stick.

Much more mature leading the line. He said it himself, before he was running aimless around and just tiring out.

He didn't turn up, so does that mean Barca aren't a top team which means the result is embarrassing..

Didn't look interested all game, terrible performance and made zero attempt to actually get involved.

Have a word with yourself. He was part of the very effective front 3 in the first half and then disappeared from the game in a second half where I think Barca's possession was above 75% for the period when he was on the pitch.

Didn't really manage to get involved, did he. I'm the first to call him for a lack of effort but I didn't see that tonight, just a game that passed him by a bit unfortunately.

Would love him to stick one past the mackems at the weekend.

Thought he was cooked at half time. Was doing A LOT of pressing on his own.

Should have done better with the one chance he did get. That’s about it.

He helps us in games where we have space. But we do also suffer with not having a centre forward in the 11. But the three other options are no better.

He’s still our best option up top. I don’t think Sunday against the mackem orcs will suit him, mind.

Since becoming first-choice CF (against Liverpool), he has 3 goals and an assist in 6 league matches.

His movement and work rate are top notch and he’s a very good finisher. It’s his best position and I think he’d agree. Only thing you’d want to see more of is an aerial presence, but Isak wasn’t exactly known for his aerial prowess and still knocked in plenty. Replacing Wolte with a proper #10 behind him would unlock things quite a bit…I wonder if we’d try Bruno in the role when he comes back.

Least of our problems and took his goal really well..however the lack of composure 2nd half and to repeat blazing the ball over twice when he has so much time to execute the shot just shows again why there is something lacking.

Gordon said his side's inability to keep a lead was becoming a real problem.

"In the past few years once we scored one at home we are looking for two, three, four where we go on and dominate. We haven't been that team this year," said the England winger.

"The stadium gets a bit shaky when we are ahead. Repeatedly this year the second half has been a problem. I spoke about that in the changing room before we went out and still we were poor.

"We let them in the game and let them get comfortable. This has been a problem and we haven't fixed it. I don't think it's a physical thing - mentally we let them in."

This today? So the thing about no players speaking to the media was bullshit?

So fans who have watched their team concede later equalisers and winners all season get nervous when we we sit back in the 2nd half and start playing like shit as if they know what's going happen next?!

@The Butcher do us a favour and stop peddling fake news/literally anything from Twitter.

The Geordie Journos mentioned it on their post match video. A couple of players (e.g. Gordon) did the TV media stuff for Sky, MOTD, etc. But then the club also puts some forward for written media, such as the newspapers, online stuff, and none were put forward for that after todays match.

So it will have only been the contractual TV stuff they were 'allowed' to do today.
