Some folk in the ground need to give their heads a shake.

Going to the match just to scream about how everyone in a black and white shirt is a useless cunt.

Season ticket holders who seem to delight in being loudmouth negative twats. This isn’t the Ashley area. The season is exceeding all expectations.

We don’t need to be happy clappy blind optimists but fucking hell, if someone’s  idea of supporting the club is spending hundreds a year just to stand and shout their mouth off calling every player a cunt then that cash would probably be better spent if they had a weekly session with a therapist.

And let someone who actually wants to support the side have that season ticket.

Here here mate, after last few seasons its a fucking pleasure to watch this team.

Owners putting money doesn’t count towards FFP - I didn’t forget; it doesn’t count.  That’s how teams with super rich owners can’t simply buy their way out of FFP.  £13.7m is worse than £10m, of course.

I’d read projections of a £50m loss - if that’s not the case, fair dos.  But any loss would then mean that losses in 2022-23 (this year) would be strictly limited.  And 2023-24 would be hampered by losses in 2021-22 and 2022-23.

They have to play it smart otherwise you can get snookered by it.  Yes, transfers are amortised, but wages aren’t - and we’ve got a massive wage bill relative to income.  Commercial deals in the next couple of years will mean these issues will dry up.

I think you need to read Maguire's piece on it. Commercial revenue will already have increased with the sleeve sponsorship and the partnership deals for 2022-23. We will see for this years accounts later on when they're released.

first half was horrible to listen to. You could feel the fans having a negative effect on the players.

Escapism for some innit. A break from the horrible boss and the stressful family life to take it out in the lads.

While I know it's only normal to analyse our own players performances, credit where credit is due, their midfield two of Rice and Paqueta were very good today and made us look ordinary at times.

Rice was on a different level today. Paqueta was good first half, but faded in the second. Rice was excellent throughout

We have looked fucked for a while now and as the bench is so weak there are very few options in terms of team selection. As good as the first half of the season was the second half is likely to be pretty painful. Probably won't lose too many as defensively we are still solid but I can see a lot of draws and as long as Chelsea and Liverpool stay shit we will probably finish around 6th with Brighton who are better than us in 5th. Hope I'm wrong.

Big difference between being ungrateful for how much we’ve improved and recognising the sliding doors potential of grabbing top 4 (or not) this season. I think folk, myself included, are just aware we were only a couple of signings away from nailing that on, and yet we’ve had a pretty complacent transfer window. That and the fact we’re no longer scoring goals.

It was deed.

Felt like we were in for a good day early doors but seemed to fizzle out quickly.

Missing Bruno and Isak, weren't at our best, still didn't get beat.  Can't grumble really.

100%

Be disappointed we didn't play as the standards we've set and at the result, but don't forget the context. Insult to the team and you cant get vexed.

Every time we don't win the bed-wetting bothers me more than the result.

Had it after Sheffield Wed and were off to Wembley and haven't lost a game since, was it worth it?

Were only chasing top 4 because we've overachieved massively in other games. This was not the goal for this squad but for that.

2points against them to finish in the top half is par for the course.

Totally agree with everything else.

Maybe, but 3 of the bottom 5 have taken a point from SJP. That's shite, like.

We looked leggy and our central midfield 2 weren’t as good as Rice n Paqueta. Once Paqueta gets up to full speed he’ll be a handful, bigger than I expected and very calm on the ball. Rather him than Rice and no contest given likely price.

I was disappointed with the ground mind, quite a few early leavers. Expect it to be better for Liverpool but bloody hell, wasn't expecting the success/atmosphere negative correlation to have so much of an effect so quickly. Whether people are thinking about Wembley far too early remains to be seen, but fucking hell.

Well said fella.

Told some bloke behind me to wind his fucking neck in today, after he'd spent the first hour slagging off every player, the manager and even the owners off.

'Do you want Ashley & Bruce back you moaning cunt' seemed to shut him and his mate up. Honestly man. ?

1 loss all season isn't shite. Best defence in the league isn't shite. No results are guaranteed in this league.

Never claimed all of that was but if you want to get into Europe in any form, you surely have to beat the shite at home?

We all need to take a minute to remember how things where under Ashley,

It was always going to be tough without Bruno, But we have hope now.

We are in a cup final, and we are still unbeaten.

We have 40 points half way through the season.

Lets just enjoy the football under howe.

and keep the faith HWTL.

I think the first half of the season, the feel good factor of how easy we made last seasons escape look and several players hitting a purple patch at the same time have given us all food for thought. They've set the bar too high for themselves and expectancy has risen with it, its difficult to shift your view when you've been looking up for so long.

Isak and Gordon will eventually get more starts and the 3 weeks out will do Bruno a world of good, but ultimately we don't have the bench to be able to give the players the rest they need this season. But we have to keep reminding ourselves this is just the beginning.

Happens

You don't win every game you're logical favourites for

when Ipswich were sunk without a trace, against KK's entertainers they drew 1-1 here.

Southampton did the double over us when we finished 3rd under KK.

Mackems went down in 96/97 and drew 1-1 here, we finished 2nd qualified for the CL. (Man U drew at home to relegated Boro, lost at the mackems but won the league).

No to get into Europe you need to finish in the European places. We have 23 points from home with 8 games to go. That's not shite.
