Or they've played a blinder by backing city.knowing full well the Prem will not go after the likes of arsenal and Liverpool for the loan breaches. Which means all penalties given for PSR will be voided ... maybe 😁

I'd guess Everton will be fine. 

 

You could guess they could argue that, whilst they were charged for interest rate breaches, essentially, other clubs weren't charged through PSR due to owner interest rate rules which were themselves unlawful.

If this takeover gets approved, then the loans will likely be paid back during the transaction, like ours to Ashley. Everton will be in a decent position if it goes ahead. They won’t be able to invest, but should get themselves back to break even, with the new stadium and the increased income that comes with it due.

Still got to be changed for APT being unlawful and that is certainly not minor. For a start FMV will be a lot different in Saudia Arabia than it will be in the UK. Aye the premier league really going to knock back a sponsorship from a Saudi company and face the high likelihood now they will be straight in court. The Premier League are full of shite and Masters and co will certainly try to downplay things. Time will tell though, but I disagree with your thinking

This wasn't a rich club getting richer, it was a club that had been fucked over by a parasitic owner getting the chance to rebuild and compete again. And 11 x PL teams and the PL itself schemed away to stop it happening

That’s all very true and highly likely, but once the rules change to include these loans which they have too. Then what ?

Of course it is, I honestly don't understand how anyone cannot see that. The APT rules have been deemed unlawful and have to be changed ; and I would be gobsmacked if the changes were not significant, with the changes not being changed deemed as insignificant, despite the Premier League's words.

Brighton will be fine, they have huge PSR headroom due to their transfers and the loans are to their owner so he’s no incentive to call them in and put his own club out of business.
