I noticed that recently as well after screaming for him to just have a bit more belief in himself.

Who'd have thought it, a teenager would need a run of games to learn how to adapt to the Premier League [emoji38]

There were a few times against Palace he would have passed it back to the CB if it was last season. He also turns around with his body a lot more, Gordon ish.

La Croqueta (Iniesta) is I think what you're talking about?

Bloody lovely.  Estrella Galicia and a bowl of these.  Made me want to book a holiday now.

His passing has been genuinely impressive for ages, and it’s good to see him a bit more confident in driving forward with the ball now. And in his tackling, too. I think this period at RB is actually going to be really beneficial for his overall development and maybe see him as a number 6 option which will make @Shak happy.

Like you have the first clue as to what makes me happy, bozo.

I often thought he was quite safe with his passing.  Even though it was neat and tidy and mostly accurate.  But from right back, he seems to have found a new confidence.  Regulrly passing forward, I suppose you sort of have to from there , breaking lines, causing more problems with his passing.

I agree entirely but I love it. You know he was keeping the ball, which we really needed. I think we'd have benefitted having him play more minutes earlier in the season because of that. And yeah the role he has to play at RB is bringing out some fantastic improvements really quickly.

There was a moment during the Burnley game where he was under pressure and had the easy back pass to Thiaw but progressed a pass with his left peg to Joelinton between two static Burnley players. Was lovely. So calm, so mature.

attacking instincts are amazing too. He’s got that Bruno in him where he does what the game needs of him. 19 ffs. What have we got?

The safe passing thing could easily have come from Eddie like, just keep it simple son, until your confidence grows

Yeah, we were all mad during the Bournemouth game but at least he didn’t cost us a goal. Played it safe when we were being hunted down in midfield. Rather he play it safe than turn blind into trouble. He knows when the right time to. His football IQ is on another level.

With the way all of our midfielders play, I'm genuinely not that sure.  I don't even think it's a bad thing and it's what we need at least one of our midfielders to do from time to time.  But none of them seem capable of it.  Bruno would be able to I'm sure, but that isn't his game at all and he'd be wasted doing so.

He's shown from right back he can pick a pass between the lines.  Just need him to start doing the 20-40 yard diagonal switch of play like a good few of our players have mastered and he'll be one of the best in the league

His assist gets better with every watch. Did amazingly just to steer it back into an area almost effortlessly.

Extremely difficult to do, was at a very difficult angle and took quality technique to cut it back like that in a way that Bruno could get onto it

aye his passing looked more progressive when he first emerged, then after the injury he seemed to go to safe mode and continued in that vein for a while, which started to frustrate some, myself included. Boy is he blossoming now and yeah the position looking like it's helped him, and I'm thrilled to fucking bits. I suppose the danger now is over expectation, just like your last sentence and me mentioning Tommy Tuchel [emoji38]

I may have been being tongue in cheek.  But if he keeps progressing like he is.  Then who knows?!

I certainly wouldn't have had Elliot Anderson down as being one of the most combative and highly sought after midfielders in the league.  Yet here we are.

Tuchel will know all about him. He's been involved with England at every level ,except the full team, and even played in certain age groups when he was younger than that age.

Doesn’t he have a cross intercepted in that Insta video?

They get recorded differently. Think he had 5 attempted crosses and none of them successful. Lad's a vampire.
