I think the performance has been so bad that you can't actually read too much into it. It's a one off game where everyone involved has had a shocker in an otherwise brilliant season.

absolutely worst performance of the season, hands down, we just weren't at the races today at all, Emery had our number and Villa executed the game to perfection. We really need to put this behind us before next Sunday, it is imperative we get a result at home to Spurs.

One thing i think it shows, it shows just how we really do need a proper defensive midfielder who spots the danger and is always in those spaces.

I love Howe and he’s absolutely the right manager for us, but feels like some people underestimated Emery. He has 11 competition wins on his CV, and is clearly in the top bracket of managers.

Poor performance all-round - players and staff.  Sometimes these days happen.  Somehow I tend to feel better when it’s down to performances like this rather than fine margins or individual errors.  It was a collective off-day.  Roll on next week

Well I won 400 quid on the score line.  I had a dream we lost 3-0.  Every dream I've ever had has come true starting from when I was about 13(Newcastle beating Leicester 5-4)!

The better team won today, some of the emotional outburst will be aimed towards Burn but the reality is NO ONE played well today. They dominated the midfield from the first minute and that’s okay, they are a good side now under Emery.
