By the rumors it looks like Szoboszlai for 70M next. EH is going for quality, not quantity. 3 or 4 players in the range of 50M - 70M.

We aren’t signing 3/4 players for that price imo. It will be Tonali plus another then maybe one or two cheaper buys

Yeah he said 1-2 elite players in his last press conference

We'll have a 2017-18 Liverpool-esque summer window, an overhaul was never happening. They signed

Salah: £44m

Robertson: £10m

Oxlade-Chamberlain: £40m

Solanke: Tribunal

Van Dijk cost them £75m in January. We'll end up doing similar. 2 signings that improve the first team, 2 squad players. Maybe 1 signing in January if the price is right. And I'll be ecstatic with that.

Tonali

Maddison/Szoboszlai

Backup right sided CB

Must admit, I'm a big fan of the Milan press and their surveillance operations. The press in this country wouldn't know what a football agent looked like if he kicked them up the fucking arse.

Watching the news on Sky that Man U are closing in on Mason Mount for the same amount that we are paying for Tonali gives me a really warm buzz inside. I'm sure Mount's a canny player, but it just feels like a premium paid for a well established English player. Not even a stand-out one like Rice or Foden. Just feels like we are getting a player with much more ability for the same sort of money.

Given Mount’s got one year left, that’s also a fairly ridiculous overpayment (if it ends up being in the region of £60m).

He’s a very, very good player mind, and he should improve them, so paying over the odds probably doesn’t matter if money is practically no object to you.
