Probably been the best midfielder in the league this season along with Palmer.

Gallowgate Toon Posted Saturday at 15:08 Share Posted Saturday at 15:08 Plugged gaps and used his speed very well in a tough situation for a sub. Personally, I think he's going to generally show most of his real qualities from RCM over a sustained period but it was the right time today to get him in centrally. That Bruno in the middle song with Isak & Botman mentioned,How many times have they all played together I dont think ive seen “Everyone fit” for a spell years. Newcastle Fan Posted Saturday at 16:06 Share Posted Saturday at 16:06 Midfield looked so much better without him and he looked so much better coming from the bench, guess this is what's best right now.
Elliottman Posted Saturday at 16:07 Share Posted Saturday at 16:07 Squad depth, he’ll start games , he’ll be on the bench for games. Same with Barnes. Having those two come on for us was absolutely lush.
Shak Posted Saturday at 17:05 Share Posted Saturday at 17:05 Think we'll see him in for Longstaff next game. Longstaff was good today but Tonali was quality against Chelsea by all accounts (I missed the game) so feels like he should keep his place. Was very telling that when he came on today he went to the centre of the midfield trio, think that's the plan going forward and I can't wait to see it. Tonali was great midweek, and he was excellent when he came on today as well. Not sure he'll start against Forest, but at least the midfield is starting to look less fragile. He looks much better when he's played centrally.
Myleftboot Posted Saturday at 21:13 Share Posted Saturday at 21:13 Will he be happy being a bit player or want to be a main man like Bruno,Joelinton,Isak and Gordon. Only time will tell.

We would be level with fourth if we had won that

Kid Icarus Posted Saturday at 23:45 Share Posted Saturday at 23:45 Don't think there's any need for a set in stone midfield. Different players will bring different qualities and it just depends who we're playing and how we want to play.
alexf Posted Saturday at 23:52 Share Posted Saturday at 23:52 Got the feeling eventually we will see... Tonali Bruno Willock Gordon Joelinton Isak But perhaps Longstaff has cemented his starting place for a while again in Eddie's eyes.
AyeDubbleYoo Posted Saturday at 23:57 Share Posted Saturday at 23:57 There would be something wrong if we couldn’t fit Tonali into our team. I know the team is the most important thing but it would be a waste. Early days though, no need to freak yet. As long as we’re winning.

Doesn't matter how much we bossed them - we couldn't finish that day. If Arse bossed us today but kept losing composure in and around the box, we'd call ourselves deserved winners. We stuffed Brighton and were robbed. Massive difference. What's with this bossed them bollocks?
Nine Posted Sunday at 06:42 Share Posted Sunday at 06:42 There’s definitely scenarios where he can play that #6 role, either coming on at 60 mins or against certain opponents. I think Howe will keep Bruno there for the majority of the time though.
