He has been here literally 3-4 weeks. It's pre-season. Some of the comments!!

He will be class.

I think he will..... but I think we'll not see it for a while, might even be after Christmas till he really kicks in. If so, I hope the crowd are patient and stays with him.

Honestly don't remember the last time I have been so excited about a player. Which is weird considering some of our signings.

I have zero concerns, he showed glimpses of what's to come against Rangers and once he settles here he is going to be huge for us. You could see at the euros and from looking back at his Milan days, he is a gamechanger but more than that a real leader and fighter. We are fortunate to have some real depth and two great young players, by the looks of it in Anderson and Miley, that will allow us to take our time with Tonali and ease him in.

Ginola is such a great guy, plays fantastic football, seems liked by everyone, no controversies surround him and even mudded Jake Humphrey in a classic takedown on air

Other than the affairs and love child?

“The love life of David Ginola has been more dramatic than anything we've witnessed in this year's I'm A Celebrity.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle midfielder, who was already adored by legions of football fans, is one of the favourites to be crown King of the Castle after winning over viewers in the first week of the series.

But one person who probably hasn't been watching the suave Frenchman is his ex-wife, as their 25-year marriage ended in scandal and was dubbed the 'Eurostar divorce'.

Dashing blue-eyed David, 54, grew a reputation as a bit of a womaniser from a young age and developed a crush on one of his teachers as a schoolboy.

"She knew I was staring into her eyes and used to look back into mine, but it was always she who had to turn away first and look to the floor," he said in his memoir posted in Le Magnifique.

"She even called my parents to tell them that I made her feel a bit uncomfortable and asked them to have a word with me."

After dating a string of glamorous women during his illustrious football career, David found love with fashion model Coraline Delphin and they tied the knot in 1991.

The couple, who lived near Saint-Tropez, had a son, Andrea, and daughter, Carla, together and were seemingly very much in love.

With the family enjoying a social whirl of sparkling celebrity and sporting events, their super-rich lifestyle which included a fleet of luxury cars and a vintage wine cellar was a life most can only dream of.

However, David and Coraline's marriage was dogged by accusations of cheating and 'multiple affairs'.

In 2000, it was alleged that David had fathered a 'love child' during a six month affair with French businesswoman Joelle Pinquier nine years earlier.

Ms Pinquier, who met David while he was playing at French side PSG, accused the footballer of refusing to take DNA tests to prove that her daughter Joy was indeed his child.

"I broke off our relationship in December 1991, when I discovered he was married and that his wife was pregnant," she said at the time.

"But it was after that that I discovered I was pregnant too… I want him to act like a father, not as an actor or a star. She wants to carry his name, for him to recognise her."

In 2009, it emerged David could be facing jail over unpaid child maintenance payments and he was ordered to pay £30,000 in fees to Ms Pinquier.

Alleged love child Joy was reportedly turned away from the hospital when David underwent a six-hour quadruple heart bypass, following his shock heart attack in 2015.

The following year, Coraline filed for divorce, reportedly claiming his affairs had destroyed their marriage.

At the time, David's lawyer said: "David and his wife are, unfortunately, going through divorce and related financial proceedings in the UK.

"The proceedings were initiated by Mrs Ginola some time ago. Mr Ginola has tried to reach an amicable agreement with Mrs Ginola and will continue with those efforts.

"He hopes to reach an agreement as soon as possible for the good of their children and asks that their privacy be respected at this difficult time for all of them."

Around this time, David was spotted with French model Maeva Denat, who is 22 years his junior, but his son insisted the divorce was filed before the former footballer met his new girlfriend.

Coraline took David on in the British court system, which historically is more generous to women than in Europe, so it was dubbed the 'Eurostar Divorce'.“

Well that’s disappointing, I’m not really someone who pays much attention to people’s relationships that I don’t know at all. However, always a shame to find out that people don’t just break things off rather than having affairs and the whole thing just becoming a big mess

With Tonali, what I have a concern about is what you could broadly call the social side of it, not the football. He seems quite a shy lad, still young, and having to get used to a different way of life, culture and climate and without having any command of the language, it seems. Unfortunately, he's the only Italian in the squad. However, if he can get through that, then there's some parallels between the football craziness of Milan and Newcastle which may be appealing to him.

It's a reasonable point that Italians in the Premiership don't have a good track record, but I think the problem is usually the pace and physicality of our football. I don't think Tonali will have a difficulty there. In fact, he might thrive.

Tonali has been up against some of the best by playing in all of Milan's Champions League games during the 2022/23 campaign, So I have no doubt about his physicality or pace. He has  established himself as one of Italy's best midfielders, Most of the negative comments originate from the southern press or the septic 6.

A former boss of mine used to go on at me as I always looked unexcited.

“what’s the mater with you?” etc etc etc.

I had to tell him over and over, this is my fucking face, this is what I look like, I’m not an over excited 30 something like he was, I’m in my 50s.  Come back and show me your constant fucking happy face when you’ve had another twenty years of this shit.

Leave Tonali alone ffs.

Although he’s got awful teeth for a young millionaire. It might just be that.
