It would be great if we could find a CB who can pass and duel like Anderson and beat Darwin Nunez in a race. But if that player exists it’s more likely he’s signing for Real Madrid or out of our price range. We’ll need to stop the defence being exposed rather than rely on their individual speed. The only defender in the top ten is Kyle Walker, as CB’s are just not as quick as forwards in general. It is why tactical adjustments are more important if you are playing against a team that play the long ball over the top for quick attackers, like we did at home against Brighton last season.
