I get where people are from with Barnes / Mbeuemo are boring. If we’re against a deep side, they get the ball, not going to get off the seat to think something will happen, space to run into, sure.

 

Still maintain we ideally need someone for RW that has some finesse to their play and can find that pass. Because it’s all on Bruno otherwise and too much of our game is dependent on high turnovers / space to play into.

Likely just been putting out feelers, to get an idea of players availability and fees up till now.

 

And so could have then made final decisions on who to prioritize this week.

Shearergol’s post has me imagining a world where we’re signing either Raphinha/Bowen/Sane. The most marquee of marquee RW signings that are -arguably- borderline realistic.

Don't need smokescreens if lips are sealed.

Agents can keep their gobs shut where the larger clubs are concerned as they want to build relationships and trust goes a long way in that.
