Elliottman Posted Monday at 18:17 Share Posted Monday at 18:17 Sounds like Howe is resigned to waiting until the Summer from his presser. Although he did say things can change to be fair ..

I was under the impression we were pretty desperate for right winger. So surprised people would be willing to loan back if we managed to sign that kid. Think would be naive to assume Murphy will be able to keep up this form just based on his last few games. Not to mention the need for rotation also even if he did. Think it’s more the bigger picture and if it meant a long term star and we suck it up short term with what we’ve got, I’m for that. We rolled the dice last winter by keeping players when the sales should’ve happened, and it didn’t help us. So there’s little reason to roll the dice again. Matt1892 Posted Monday at 18:59 Share Posted Monday at 18:59 Was it Sissoko that we signed on a pre contract as he was in the final 6 months of his contract then signed him permanently on the cheap shortly afterwards? Could try the same with Jonathan David.
Tiresias Posted Monday at 19:10 Share Posted Monday at 19:10 hes never going to say got loads of money going to buy loads its a pointless question never going to get an accurate answer. Dont think we'll spend loads due to the psr bullshit but dont think we know either way based on what he says

Shame as I think he would be perfect for us and Howe perfect for him.

Shame as he'd be a good replacement for crippled Callum.
mighty__mag
Eddie seemed a bit coy on the Dubravka rumours, do wonder if thats really a move that could happen, as if at Dubravkas age he wouldn't want to double his wages, no brainer for the player. Yeah, it's no coincidence the Trafford rumours have come around again recently.

Craig Hope was saying they're prepared to let him go this window if he wants to (and it sounds like he will) but he thinks it'll be nearer the end of Jan so Pope can come back first. The way I read it from EH is Dubravka is gone as soon as Pope is fit. Only thing else I can see happening this window is Miggy out for a new RW but who knows. Things can change quickly in a transfer window depending on other clubs wants and needs. Edited 11 hours ago by LFEE

Sounds like they’re hoping Pope is back for the Spurs game. So that would mean Dubravka can move on. I can’t see him being back so soon, mind. aussiemag
I think we’ll see Miggy, Trippier and Dubravka move on. Sign a new RW. Summer we sign a ST, GK and RCB. Krafth to deputise for Livramento.
kingxlnc
Angel Gomes in and Willock out sounds like a great upgrade Although Gomes profile type is more like Bruno so it could be a good move for PSR to get him in and sell Bruno for Xm

No thanks. No guarantee Gomes plays well in the premier league, especially for a team like us who isn’t heavy on possession.
Sibierski
Gomes I love a lot and think he will be a top player for many sides. But the way we play under Howe, I can’t see him being good unfortunately because we aren’t a side that will cycle the ball loads and retain possession. May well in seasons to come, but like 90% of our team, if not more is more about fast transitions and needing CM that have legs. Ederson from Atalanta is the dream CM for the LCM. Him and Joelinton are some units to compliment Tonali / Bruno / Miley.
LFEE
Only seen snippets of Gomes but first impressions he’d be as big as a mistake as signing Vurnon Anita. Wrong team and wrong league.
sempuki
Any chance of loans with an option/obligation to get around PSR?
mighty__mag
Angel Gomez only really came to prominence because of the Southgate resignation and Carsley pushing through a player from his time with the U21's, not saying Gomes is a bad player, but it felt like a new guy bringing in some of the lads he knows previous. Southgate did exactly the same with Maguire, Deir, etc. They all have their favourites. Gomes is about 5'5" and under 9st, it would be like my 12yr old in midfield for us. kingxlnc
Latest BBC gossip column linked Osimhen with Man U and Kolo Muani to Arsenal. Do you think we could be tempted for one of these with a view to Isak playing as SS or LW?

Andy84
We need to see the value of Mitchell this window. If it can’t be an out and out signing then a loan with a view, a young player, something else creative. Merry Christmas everyone
