Sibierski Posted Sunday at 08:45 Share Posted Sunday at 08:45 If KDB is open to staying in Prem, he’s got to be considered surely for our CM? Gives us another dimension, short term, another top player for Miley to learn from.

AJ9 Posted Sunday at 08:53 Share Posted Sunday at 08:53 KDB would be mint like but it is never happening. Financially it makes zero sense.

Depends what his wages and signing fee would be. If we’re in UCL, we need quality. £200k pw 2 year deal, that’s £20m gone in wages minimum. Do you take what you know you get, or go youthful for that price point. You’d think even after one year, the option is probably there to move him to Saudi etc.
Tiresias Posted Sunday at 09:18 Share Posted Sunday at 09:18 It's not worth blowing our wage structure for someone whom while a genius is not going to be capable of howes pressing regime and will definitely be out injured for a fair period of season. STM Posted Sunday at 09:26 Share Posted Sunday at 09:26 KDB man He's either going to one of Europe's elite clubs Bayern, Barca, Madrid or he's decided to take pay check in Saudi or MLS. The more I think about it, the more I think Bayern Munich would be an amazing move for him. He could probably play another 4 seasons, win 4 leagues and have another pop at a European cup. De Bruyne and Kane would fairly unstoppable domestically.

ExiledGeordie Posted Sunday at 11:08 Share Posted Sunday at 11:08 (edited) I don’t think we’ll sign Cunha but we really could do with signing something with a bit of the X factor to pull something out of their arse in tight games which is what a Cunha type player can do. We only really have Isak who can do that tho Barnes is a definite threat from outside the box with his shot (Tonali too I guess). Super Duper Branko Strupar Posted Sunday at 11:22 Share Posted Sunday at 11:22 A 33 year old midfielder who has probably 2 seasons left? I love De Bruyne as much as the next man, but that's silly.

gbandit Posted Sunday at 11:39 Share Posted Sunday at 11:39 He’ll look class again in a slower league. In the premier league he’ll only show flashes from now on, especially as he has multiple injuries each season now

jonny1403 Posted Sunday at 19:11 Share Posted Sunday at 19:11 You have to say, looking back at that transfer window in 2023 which was roundly criticised: Tonali Hall Livramento Barnes It looks pretty fucking good now. Our transfer record is pretty outstanding since the takeover, it must be the best in the league? Trippier Bruno Burn All legends of the club now. Isak Botman Tonali Gordon Just peak world class players (Botman can get back to that). Hall Livramento Barnes Very good first team players with insane potential in the case of the first two. Then you are literally just looking at Wood and Targett who did a job when we were desperate and Osula who is still very young. Not a single failure in my book. It’s outstanding.
