Where have you got those stats from? From age 17-20 he played over 100 games which is almost unheard of in Italy for a young player to be trusted to that degree.

He did have however just have two serious injuries. An ACL he got just before the Euros then a serious shoulder injury literally just after coming back.

It's definitely a risk to sign any player who has basically missed a year of football - but we did it with Tino to success.

He missed 65 games in 4 seasons- add up the games missed on that injury report.

I’m away to the lakes.  Last time I was there the takeover happened. Just sayin.

Most likely we start negotiations with Trafford end of this week, so yeah a good chance something happens.

If we miss out on Guehi, then I hope we go big with a suprise signing at CB, like we did with Pedro and Isak. Think a proper world class singing would lift the team wonders. No idea who this could be mind

Also, what about Scalvini? Could we do similar to Tino and buy him after an ACL injury?

Happy to read the rumours this morning!

Would fit our style of buying elite talent when others won't take the risk

I only really know Scalvini from FM where hes basically a legend. He looks like a skiding tackle monster in those youtube vids

If we can get him for the right price and if we can manage his workload so that his chance of injury is reduced - get him on a plane.

That was my first thought too. Injury trouble, coming off a less productive season, potential gambling addiction - if we could find someone with all three they'd be perfect for us.

Really though, you are right. We're going to struggle going head-to-head with the established "top" clubs for players so we have to move when they hesitate.

Stoke - then scored a hattrick against them iirc :bluestar:

Halloween 2011. Watched it with a couple of lads from here at Shark bar, then got into a fight with a student dressed as a zombie as he was pissing on St James Park.
