I think Elanga puts paid to Dibling. @KaKa’s idea of someone like a De Ketamine, or however his name is properly spelled, is a good one. Sign Elanga and Trafford and I think we’re three players away from being a significant force - RCB, support/second striker, and CM. Dreamworld would be: - Ederson from Atalanta for the last of those. - Second striker would be Arnaud Kalimuendo. - Antonio Silva at RCB.

With no Wilson I wouldn’t want to be relying on Osula and Gordon picking up the slack in a 50-60 game season (38 PL, 8 CL minimum, 2 each in the FA and League cups - could realistically be as high as 38, 12, 5 and 5). Same can be said for Schar/Botman/Burn 2 of 3 playing for 50-60 games?

We've got Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Willock, Longstaff & Miley currently who can play CM. Only way we bring him in is if we shift two of them, and we're not shifting Longstaff or Miley due to the squad reg rules for the CL. Would like him if we lost a 'purple' though. Miley doesn’t really make any difference to the CL regs (yet) due to his age, but I probably agree with you overall.

That's what I'm saying, he's a free squad player so we're not shifting him any time soon. If we were to shift Joelinton I think Ederson would be a good replacement. Slightly different player but good luck finding another Big Joe.

Surely we could put another academy product, who’d never get a game anyway, in the squad and offload Longstaff. Selling Sean and Willock would free up the finances for Ederson. He’d comfortably cover 6 and 8. Also think he’d be an improvement on JL when it’s not his type of game. Tbh, I could see EDERSON BRUNO TONALI as a fantastic set up. Tonali has the physicality for JL’s role with higher technical ability. JL and Miley off the bench. Horses for courses.
Thumbheed
As much as I love Barnes, I'd sell him given the option and use the money to buy Kudus. He'd give us so much tactical flexibility.

I’d flog Willock and Longstaff - it just means an empty space in the squad list - 24 not 25.

Surely equal in decline compared to Osula/Gordon/Elanga covering Isak at striker. I'd argue RCB and the back-up striker are equally as important and we really need both this summer. black_n_white
RCB and another forward player must be the priority after Elanga and Trafford? Another midfielder will likely come in if Longstaff leaves?
