Would be absolutely delighted with Scalvini, was one of the most highly rated CBs in Europe before he done his ACL.

 

Something tells me that it stinks of Barella/Tonali situation though, but if Scalvini is available for £30m I'd be devastated if we weren't all over it.

Think it's a much bigger priority than forward. Burn & Schar aren't getting younger, Botman has missed most of the last 18 months and Lascelles seems finished. Wouldn't take much for a big drop off from either of Burn or Schar just based on age. Not saying we don't need both but a younger CB is crucial.

Hey why not go the whole hog and get Silva AND Scalvini? Sort out our RCB for ten years. Botman Schar Scalvini and Silva would be a killer set of four, with Burn covering Hall and Botman and Krafth covering Livramento and RCB

 

Would give Scalvini time to ease in and then when Schar is ready to retire we are covered
