That would be pretty negligent tbh, but there's no way of knowing if it's true. I would imagine we should have a pretty good idea of whether players are coming or not, we defnitely should have had an idea with Delap and Pedro, in which case we should not be allowing secondary targets to go elsewhere. But we have no idea if that's happened or if it's just paranoid nonsense.

Yeah, I kind of knew that - was trying to take solace in losing out on signings! I think Ron Noades stuck out a statement saying Solako turned it down as it was too far north - but has subsequently all been denied!

Quansah is going to Bayer Leverkusen. Earlier this week, we were linked with Tapsoba, one of Bayer's centre backs, so there could be a connection.

 

He looked good on a Youtube scouting mission.

For context even the mackems have 2 Sporting Directors currently, probably with a wealth of contacts and savvy with doing deals.

 

We have no Sporting Director and the last time we were  active in the market; Staveley was calling the shots with Ashworth.

I’m staggered we’ve ended up in this situation when the summer market has began.

 

I’d be amazed if any other big club would have allowed Mitchell to break contract until at least September, unless Howe and co were happy to get shot.
