KaKa
So what's the peak of what should be paid for Wissa then? £30 million? Considering he's also in the final year of his contract too if I'm not mistaken.
Fenham Mag
Wissa AT the right price would be ideal, he doesn't have the stature or injury record to suggest he'll slow down too much in the next 5 years. £35m and I'd be happy.
Kid Icarus
I wouldn't be putting £50m down on him like, I have to say.

That is daft money for him - they bought him £8.5m and will miss games for the AFCON. £30mish is fair price.

Tsunami
I’d agree no more than 35M, he’s not going to be 1st choice. The other thing will be length of contract; 4 years max for me.
Infinitely Content
Not at all sure about the talk over the last few pages on Sesko and Ramos. I don't think our plan was to ever spend big on a more rigid, traditional striker profile. Ekitike and Joao Pedro were unique propositions as players we had pursued before who could play both with and in lieu of Isak proficiently. I don't think Sesko or Ramos are at all a similar profile to Joao Pedro or Ekitike, they both seem to thrive on intelligent movement and finishing. They're hardly the versatile playmaker types. Spending £70m+ on either them wouldn't make much sense or align with the strategy we clearly have in mind imo.

Pilko
Best guess: £35m opening bid for Wissa rejected Spurs get involved £45m plus clauses bid accepted Man U mega bid for Mbuemo accepted Brentford pull out of Wissa sale We then learn he only wanted Spurs anyway

Both Delap and Wissa aren't really of the versatile playmaker profile either though, so difficult to say that is purely what it comes down to. Shak
Wissa as the cheaper versatile striker option and then spunk the savings on an aggressive push for Dibling.

Quite different situations I think, Delap was an opportunistic signing at a low fee. Wissa isn't the typical striker, he is capable both out wide and in a more playmaker style role with his ball-carrying abilities. He's a lot more versatile and dynamic than Sesko or Ramos. Chicken Dancer
£30-£35m it's a no-brainer for me. Anything north of £40m would have me a bit sketchy, £50m (which I suspect would be the price) would be daft. He'd jump at the chance to come here, that's for sure. Champions League football alone, and he'd probably understand he would be an understudy who'll still enjoy plenty minutes.

ToonAbroad
Yeah, anything £35m and under and it's a fine move - leaves us around £40m leftover from the Ekitike deal too to put towards Trafford/CB and a midfielder.

Good sign. I don't think he's played as a second striker regularly but apparently has the right attributes to. Definitely has good link-up play with the midfield at PSG. Would be exciting to go for him. I dont think wed have primary and secondary strikers. On the occasions we'd play both theyd work off each other l. Reading each other to learn which one is in the optimum position to drop or push.
