NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

You can't look at players like numbers on a sheet. If Ramsey, Wissa, Thiaw etc can actually be relied upon to be trusted with significant minutes then that is extra depth. Everyone says Longstaff, Wilson etc weren't being used so having players that are used and trusted to play more than spot minutes is extra depth even if technically the amount of numbers in the squad is the same.

Pope, Ramsdale, Ruddy (3)

Trippier, Livramento, Hall, Krafth, Targett (5)

Botman, Burn, Schar, Thiaw, Lascelles (5)

Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Ramsey, Willock (5)

Gordon, Elanga, Barnes, Murphy (4)

Isak, Wissa, Osula (3)

That's 25 as it stands, names in bold could change obviously.

If we're going to add another midfielder on top of Ramsey I can only assume we're going to look to shift one of Targett or Willock before we do so.

Hall doesn’t take a place up due to age.

Do we think we go for another midfielder?

If we do, then we will either move Willock on or let Miley go out on loan.

I thought last summer that we never replaced Anderson as we felt six was enough, and Tonali coming back from his ban facilitated his departure.

Love wor Lewis but he’s quickly going down the ladder. We need him and I want to see him starting matches but dang.

The absolute best thing for his development would be him going on a season long loan where he’d start every game.

We sign an inexpensive, experienced solid CM to be backup to Tonali and Bruno.

Miley having a full season of starting every week allows him to develop into a much better player and extremely valuable asset for us.

Of course, this would put NUFC’s very existence at risk so I’m glad that PSR makes it incredibly impractical to do all of that and protects us as a club.

May not be the most exciting names, but Elanga, Ramsdale, Thiaw and Ramsey certainly improve our squad in a big way imo. The success of the window will probably come down to strikers mind.

Wissa still likely to be Wilsons replacement

Don't think there are any strikers left out there who our fans would even settle for as the Isak replacement..

Two players signed in a matter of days since Nickson apparently took over.

What the fuck was Andy Howe doing [emoji38]

I'm fairly certain that "Nickson taking over" rumour is pure bullshit, it feels like its just fluid, with individual people leading on different deals at any one time (obviously they'll all have some sort of involvement at varying stages of a player recruitment), as by all accounts, Andy Howe was the one leading the Thaiw deal, and it was Nickson and Reuben leading the negotiations for the Sesko move.

As someone who doesn't even think Andy Howe should be working at the club I totally agree with this. Don't think any of the players signed were primary targets either.

The same could be said for Osula, if we signed someone like Vardy on a 12 month deal then it makes sense to get him on loan to a championship club so he can get game minutes and goals under his belt.

At 22, it is a make or break season for the lad with us.

Of the signings we’ve missed out on this summer which do you think we’ll live to regret the most? Particularly those that were quite close at the time?

Pedro

Ekitikie

Trafford

Sesko

Guehi

Mbuemo

Cunha

Isn’t Kenneth Taylor slow as shit?

Andy Howe wants to bring someone in at the same pace as his negotiation skills?

11 acceleration, 12 pace on FM. Bruno speed.

Same as Wor captain and a few years younger? Nothing a few double intensity quickness training sessions won’t improve.

Get him in.
