NUFC Transfer Rumours

If we end the window with Ramsey, Wissa and either Isak or an adequate alternative then I think it's a 7/10.

Hard to give it any more than that without adding a top level player but I think addressing all areas of need with (at a bare minimum) solid, proven players isn't bad work at all. The Isak situation, as it stands I think we're handling it as well as we possibly can but we'll have to see what happens.

Hard to give it a 7/10 without watching them all play and settle in

Could end up being 10/10

Probably best to judge after at least 10-15 games : Christmas Time 🎅

I don't think it was. We smashed the bottom 6 teams home and away looking at the h2h table

From memory, we struggled against the likes of Bournemouth, Fulham, Brighton etc, those 8th-12th placed teams

This, we struggled most against sides that uno reversed us with a high press.

Agree. I guess it also depends on everyone's metrics though.

What's deemed a success at the time and what retrospectively is deemed a success is probably different.

Had we signed Trafford, Guehi, Elanga, Paquetta and Ekitike I think lots of people would have called its a 9.5 transfer window.

If all of them turned into flops after Christmas that would maybe change perception. I remember that first Allardyce summer (despite trying to block it out) and the transfer frenzy. Thought that was the best window ever at the time. In actuality not many of them worked out lol

Here's some data on PL matches last season.

We were strongest either side of half time, which suggests we worked our opponent's out, and weakest from 60 mins onwards, suggesting a problem with legs and a lack of quality on the bench. This should improve with our new signings who add depth.

Paqueta and Tonali lifetime ban for betting by Christmas.

Any news on when @JT24’s podcast “Howe did it happen?” lands?

Looking forward to hearing the ins and outs of Andy’s tumultuous transfer window

It’s with the lawyers at the moment.

I think it’s been a decent window if Ramsey and Wissa come

We have Targett to bin, the rest have gone

Next summer we will need to replenish again

Trippier-Schar-Lascelles-Krafth-Willock-Isak

RB-CB-CB-LB-CM-CF

This is where the Isak and CL money will help along with a competent CEO and DoF

What Isak money? He's not for sale. We need to stand our ground on this one. He can bugger off next summer with the potential of a bidding war pushing up his price.

"Oh but he wont play" Bullshit. He'll soon change his tedious tune when he's not getting paid and getting sued at the same time.

He may of course be worth 20-40 million less with only 2 years left but the 20+ goals will be worth the loss. As I've already said though, new summer transfer window could bring in a bidder war. PSG, Real, Bayern, Liverpool and Stoke all looking for a superstar. Maybe Real,  HIBS and Man Utd too.
