Have to admit never seen much of Lopez but he looks the type of player who would complete us.

 

Now of the opinion we should sell Isak and get JSL, then do whatever it takes to get Lopez if there’s even a sniff we could pull it off.

Probably not but would love another midfielder like this Lopez or Santos. Would put us in a strong position to attack all competitions this season.

Yeah I think we'll wait to splurge the rest of the money. We'd want to do more due diligence before we go splurge 60-70m on a luxury midfielder.

Yes we can still spend some of the expected money from the Isak sale. Even if that is Jan/Jun when he is finally sold.

Does anyone have a strong sense of what the situation actually is with regard to our finances? Like is a second striker this window dependent on us selling Isak now or at least before next summer's PSR deadline? Are we already at the point where he needs to be sold in light of the Woltemade deal? I guess we're just over £200 million spent and have brought in probably no more than £20 million through Longstaff, Dubravka and maybe a couple of small loan fees.

 

We do need two forwards for the season and I'd love another midfielder.

Either club thinks we're short and need to make a buy, or we're not and can cover injuries.

think the point EH was making is that with the window open they could have done something and he was referencing it in response to a question about whether he would be happy when the window closes. He said there there positives and negatives to the window still being open.
