Not putting much stock in that source tbh.

That being said, it's beyond me why we didn't include an optional year in the deal.

In which universe timeline is Tino sold for 1.2m more than Elanga and Wissa were bought for?

An insulting offer.

I wouldn’t sell Tino for that sum. Having said that, just because we overpaid massively for a couple of players and made mistakes it doesn’t mean that our other players end up going up massively when it comes to worth. 60m+ (65?) would be tempting though considering his reluctance to sign a new contract and how injury prone he seems.

Will look better in a team where he doesn't need to actually defend. If he goes to city he will just recycle the ball over to doku.

Keeps him out of the final 3rd so won't get lost.

It’s a crease how insulted people get by transfer tattle.

Some media outlet shares some tattle for clicks about Tino and people on here react like they’re Woody in Indecent Proposal and Redford has just offered them a slab of Fosters for Demi.

How much did we pay for him? £40mil? £56 sounds way too cheap.

Two years left on his deal and seemingly unwilling to extend, injury prone, his performances haven’t been good this season… I don’t see why a buyer would offer more in all honesty.

Next summer the bids will be £30m at most, the summer after that he’ll be able to leave for nowt.

That's only because we stupidly overpaid and our dear leader is a simpleton.

50 million for a crock (Tino) is good business.

If he’s not signing a new contract then his value starts to fall off a cliff after this summer. I expect a decent amount has already been knocked off by his injuries this season.

It's better than I thought it would be tbh. Assuming it's not bullshit, which it might well be.

Tell that to Nunes who was involved in at least 2 critical penalty box incidents yesterday.

£60m seems fair considering his injury record. He’s also probably the easiest to replace of the players we could get a reasonable fee for.

Arsenal are looking for a White replacement, not a Timber replacement.

Can't see them paying the money we'd ask for a full back who's not going in as a starter. But then if they are only looking at bringing a couple in who knows

They play Lewis-Skelly in midfield now. Tino can cover lb and rb.

Tino will be annoyingly good for Arsenal at either fullback position and it's not ideal to lose him, but between his injuries and deficiencies going forward I don't think he's a transformational player. Selling the likes of him is the type of unfortunate thing we need to do.

Hall needs a massive pay rise.
