Coffee_Johnny
Is anyone curious to know how Miggy would do with an extended run on the left?

He's our record signing and one of the most promising strikers in Europe. Putting him at LW is stupid when he's needed at CF and we have others who can play out wide. "Isak LW" seems to be the new "Schar / Coloccini DM". And it's no less sensible. People shoehorning him into their imaginary FM line-ups to have both him and Wilson playing at the same time is getting incredibly boring. It'll be a fun meme in 10 years time though. The College Dropout
I don't fully buy the "well stocked" angle. We are competing in 4 competitions and already have injuries. Gordon needs a rest on Weds. I expect Isak to start up top. So we're looking at Anderson LW, Isak, Murphy.
Jonas
What a pisser. Injuries are the fly in the ointment. I'm placated but for that. Suppose this is the least vulnerable area albeit that brings fatigue into it for the others now. Edited September 26, 2023 by Jonas
Dokko
Just below the toe. So a broken nail or scuffed boot?
Stottie
Poor lad. Just as he was settling in to the team. Its a long season, so I'm sure he'll have a role to play later in the season. I was just thinking about Wilson vs Isak and had Barnes in my Wilson front three. It was Murphy/Gordon Wilson and Barnes, focusing on supply to Wilson as a box striker. Isak drops deep and links play, so it occurred to me that we could rotate to playing wide forwards. Such as Miggy Isak Joelinton/Gordon. This all assumes everyone is fit and available, of course, and was just a bit of fun. They're all good players in whatever setup.

timeEd32
I'm assuming "just below the toe" means when looking at the foot vertically. He's probably imagining the x-ray while saying that. Sounds like a metatarsal problem or something along those lines.

McCormick
Real shame; in tight games he’s the winger I would most expect to get a goal out of nothing. Really good option to have.

It won't be so bad once we have the two Joes back, but yes at the moment, it does put a lot of work on the shoulders of Gordon.

STM
I know its not a "good" thing but it also might not be the worst. Howe said himself that players benefit from just being able to observe the way we do things. I honestly don't think Barnes had hit the ground running anyway. Give us a quality second half of the year Harvey lad.
